We have hired many subcontractors to help us update our old house over the last two years, and by far, Valentin and Stan of SVN Painting have been the best people we've hired. They are very organized, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and prompt. They were very good at communicating when they would arrive and finish, thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and took great care to ensure a job well done. The exterior of our house had not been painted in many many years and Stan and Valentin did an impeccable job scraping, filling and painting to make it look amazing again. Their designer, Teddy, even popped by to help me make a final decision on paint colors for the trim, siding and front door. We love how it has turned out.

Val and Stan of SVN Construction Group, Inc did an absolutely outstanding, meticulous, high quality paint job of my entire home interior walls, including all baseboards and doors. The lines they created between the walls and baseboards and between the walls and door frames are perfect and my whole house has a new look and feel because of the beautiful paint job. When Val first came to my home, he took detailed notes about everything that I wanted done including patching up peeling paint in my bathroom, repairing a loose metal edging on my ceiling, and removing the existing shelves, brackets and clothes-hanging poles from my Master closet. Their price for everything was very competitive, but I also liked that they allowed me to choose the paint brand and the paint product within that brand. I was able to choose the paint brand and product that I wanted, and they bought it with their contractor discount, thus passing on the discount to me. At the end of the project, Val presented me with the receipts for the paint, and that was how much I owed them for the paint. In other words, they made no profit from just the paint itself. Probably what I truly appreciated with Val and Stan is that when I asked to add another room and a closet to the project, they did not increase the original price. Because I had new baseboards installed, there were many places that should have been caulked, and I asked them to do that as well. Again, they said that it was just a minor detail and no increase in cost is needed. From the bottom of my heart, I feel that these two guys are honest, hard-working, fantastic people who will do an excellent, high-quality paint job at a reasonable price, and certainly won’t nickel and dime you to death.

All work was completed in a day and a half and went exceedingly well. Drop clothes, plastic sheeting and rolled-out paper was used to protect all areas of the house. Prep included mitigating some overdone texturing, sanding, and using quality primer/sealer. Two finish coats were then applied. Masking was carefully done, and all lines between contrasting trim and wall colors were straight and clean. Clean up was thorough. The two man crew of Valentin and Stan were cordial and hard-working. They also are quite experienced and know their craft. We couldn't have been more pleased with the result.

Very well. Stan kept me in the loop and was truly interested in my opinion. The team always explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. You can find painters who will charge less, and you can find painters that change more. But, you would be hard pressed to find painters who cares more about the quality of their work or the customer.

Before beginning work he discussed for quite awhile what I want him to do. We talked about wood, paints, how many coats were necessary, color, etc. In addition, I asked him to paint a pergola we had. So he included that in his estimate. After several hours, he thought he had enough information to begin buying the materials. He said he would paint the fence and bring someone else to pain the pergola. The day of the painting Stan carefully covered all the plants and anything else he thought could be damaged by paint. Since the pergola stands on cement and is next to the house, so they covered everything with plastic. They then sprayed the fence and pergola with two coats of paint. It took them three days. At the end of each day they thoroughly cleaned up everything. The total fencing I had Stan paint was in excess of 200 feet. Quite a job. When the fencing and pergola were finished, I was very pleased with what I saw. Stan really did an outstanding job. I was HAPPY. I was PLEASED.

Excellent. Stan came to give a good proposal and discussed paint qualities and scope of work. A price was negotiated and we got color samples to verify what we wanted. They are on time and completed the job in roughly a day and one-half. Doors look great. Stan and Val set up and managed proper paint handling by straining and insuring smooth finish. We will plan to use SVN for more painting in the future.

They were professional and great to have around even going so far as to help me hang up a heavy bike in my garage that had nothing to do with the paint job.  Super polite, great personalities, and very hard working.  They both are perfectionists and did a great job painting and also cleaning up each day so our house was livable during the job.  They were also very affordable.  I highly recommend them.

Valentin and Stan are the best! They have very high standards, and are very easy to work with. We had a difficult time choosing paint colors, and they were very patient with us. Their quote was exactly what we paid once the job was completed. We are very happy with their work and reasonable pricing. Valintin and Ted of SVN Painting get 5 Stars for painting entire interior of my home. Valentin responded quickly in providing an estimate and advice on type of paint and color choices. They came on time every morning and cleaned the work area at the end of each day. They worked very efficiently and made accommodations around our daily lives. Valentin and Ted are very skilled painters and professionals. They take pride in their work and the results show on the way they prepare the walls before painting. I had some water damage and the repairs made are invisible. They were very obliging on any requests I made. If you want real quality workmanship contact SVN. I am very, very pleased with the results of their workmanship!

I found SVN from Angie's List and selected them because of the excellent reviews they received from previous clients. I was not disappointed in the least! They were prompt with their estimate and each day they arrived on time, working diligently throughout the day and most importantly, cleaned up after themselves each evening. They spent a day prepping and sanding the walls which, I believe, is the secret to their great paint results. I will not hesitate to use Valentin and Stan for any future painting needs!

Working with Stan and Val is such a pleasure!  Their professionalism, responsiveness, and quality of work is truly excellent.  This is the second time I have used SVN, and this job was quite large.  They were extremely patient in the color selection process and with my attention to even the smallest details.  Fortunately, they are perfectionists too! They worked incredibly hard to get wood finishes authentically "aged" and did an impeccable job finishing a new large cabinet in a library/office area. These were not easy tasks, and required many steps to complete. The white paint color I chose for the walls entailed the walls be in perfect condition, and Stan and Val made sure they were!  Their prices are very reasonable, particularly considering the high-end quality of their work.
As an Interior Designer, I have worked with many subs from varying areas of expertise, and Stan and Val are the best I have worked with. Their knowledge of proper application, and using correct types of lacquers, sealers, and paint categories, is excellent.

This is one professional contractor!  From the initial contact with Valentin until completion everything they did was first class.  Valentin responded promptly to my request for a quotation and the quotation provided was very detailed, detailing  the exact services and the exact paint, brushes, etc that was to be used.  They only use top of the line paint.  
They showed up on time every day and were unbelievable neat and thorough.  Never have I seen painters work with virtually no masking tape.  They removed the pictures from the wall, covered the cabinets and floors with drop cloths and went to work.  Their work was outstanding, caulking any gaps in the trim and providing two coats of paint to every surface.
They cleaned up every day and when they left, other than the fact that the rooms looked fantastic, you could not tell a painter had even  been here.  They replaced the pictures on the walls.  They then completed a walk through with us to make certain there was nothing that we were not satisfied with
I have found my go to painter for any future work and would highly recommend SVN and Valentin and his partner for any painting needs.,  Their price was very competitive with several other bids I received.
They exceeded all our expectations

They were extremely detailed and asked multiple questions to clarify my wants and needs.  The quality of all their work was excellent.  They were very careful.  They informed us as to the direction/progress of the project and informed us of the activity and the rooms involved each day.  They explained what not to touch whenever necessary.  They made sure everything was done to our satisfaction and cleaned up all small details as necessary.  They explained what they were doing and why they were using certain paint in certain parts of the project.  It is difficult to imagine that we could have found a more talented and well-priced painter.  The two owners are also the painters.

Valentin and Stan were exceptional from the first email and estimate for services.  I was impressed with the level of professionalism.  Prior to the service, they kept in touch with me via email.  The room looks wonderful.  They came on time with all of their equipment and cleaned up after themselves.  During the day, they let me know what was transpiring and completed the task in one day as promised.  In this day and age, it is rare to experience such quality of service and customer support.

Val and Stan are great! Punctual and super clean. Great guys, friendly service and do a high quality and fair priced job.
 

Valentin and Stan were great. They work hard and steady without many breaks. They focus on the job and don't waste time. They didn't do much taping which saves time and money and I didn't see one drop of paint on the floor. They cover the floors and furniture as needed. They used a variety of paint and brands, all good quality products, depending on the job. They also painted a kitchen cabinet frame to match the same color as the new cabinets installed in the kitchen. The real test of a contractor's value is when you try to add more work for them to do while they're at your house. After seeing their work, we asked them to paint the front door and kitchen door too. We've already started another project list for them for other parts of the house. Don't bother getting other quotes from paint contractors because SVN has a great price and do excellent work. In fact, the other two paint quotes I got, which both had A ratings on Angie's List, were much higher.

These two were amazing. They are highly skilled with their brushes, and perfectionists as well. .....and they laugh at using painters tape in their work. The office/laundry area had smoke damage that began bleeding through the primer they had laid down....so they had to go out and buy a shellac based primer, and put down two coats. In total, 3 coats of paint. Valentin was going to stick by his original bid of $250.00 despite the $45.00 expense for additional primer...I insisted on paying for the primer, and gave them an additional $100.00 for a total of $400.00 for 8 hours of work by two talented painters. ..I was initially inclined to write a horrible review, because I don't want them to get so many clients they don't have time to work on my home. .... These guys will ALWAYS paint my home.

These guys were excellent and a pleasure to deal with. They were punctual, professional, and they know their stuff.  Their prices were competitive, and their work was really high quality.

This house is a rental property that has had its share of past tenants who painted "accent walls" during their tenancy and then attempted to return the walls to the previous color... generally in a huge rush, on their own, while trying to pack all their stuff... meaning the house had become fifty shades of off white, with painted switchplates, smears on the ceiling, paint peeling off closet doors due to use of the wrong paint and poor prep, etc...
I originally hired Valentin to paint just the kitchen cabinets, which were painted white with a lot of chipping over the years.  He arrived exactly on time (8am) and spent two full days on a modest sized kitchen.  They look fantastic!  He is a perfectionist and we had several conversations during those two days about the paint issues throughout the rest of the house.  So... I talked him into painting the rest of the interior.  He convinced me that using a washable flat paint in one color everywhere (except kitchen/baths) would be a smart strategy to enable me to do touch ups between tenants rather than having to fully repaint. 
He spent two full days prepping the house, and then he and his partner painted for 4 full days -- all walls and trim (skipping the insides of closets and most ceilings, at my request).  They use very high quality paint and are thorough and professional.  I was doing a bit of my own painting (exterior front door, exterior railings), and they were also very helpful with tips (and critiques) on my projects. 
I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again. 

They are fantastic.  Really good, solid, hardworking guys.  They always do a spectacular job for us and go above and beyond to help us out. After painting they've helped me hang shelves and curtains and pictures and hardware.  They really pay attention to detail so the end product looks flawless. Their pricing is very fair and they are thorough and never leave me any sort of mess.  

I've had them in my home many, many times. They've repainted almost the entire house at this point with the exception of two rooms.  When we're ready to do those two rooms and the exterior they will be our guys.  I've left them alone in our home many times while they were working so I could run errands or pick up my kids, that's how trustworthy and kind they are.  I have only good things to say about them both and would HIGHLY recommend.  We will definitely continue to use their services and are grateful that we found such awesome guys to work with.

I highly recommend this company.  They responded immediately to my inquiry, provided a professional and ultimately accurate written quote, and worked within my tight schedule to get the job done.  They were patient with my indecisiveness on color, and were able to add valuable input on ceiling and crown molding color.  They are very experienced and their attention to detail is excellent.  I will be using them again for more projects in the future.
