I ordered all new solid interior doors to replace the original hollow core ones and a new front door from South Bay Door and window. Robert and Steve were super helpful and helped pick a nice shaker door style at an affordable price. The hardware was also ordered and matched perfectly. At one point I was short some screws from the manufacturer (oil rubbed bronze); Steve got me replacement screws within a day at no charge. Customer service was great! Very happy with the service and price! Most importantly the doors look and function awesome and the house is much quieter. I would recommend this company to anyone in the Southbay in need of doors and windows. Thanks Robert and Steve!

My condo desperately needed upgraded, two patio sliding doors and 6 windows, upstairs and down. We had Steve, the owner at the showroom to get a quote. He was professional and punctual all the way from the initial meeting and when it came time for the removal of the old windows and doors along with installation of the new. We decided on desert tan Milgard products and are extremely pleased with the face lift of our home. In a timely manner they removed and hauled away all the old windows and doors, installed new windows and doors with new trim work inside and out. They cleaned up the interior and exterior of the property when they were done and made us feel comfortable during the whole process. We had used this company before on our old property and when the time comes we will again no question.

OUTSTANDING job from beginning to end.  I provided rough measurements for the initial estimate and they came out and completed accurate measurements.  Really enjoyed working with the owner, Steve.  He and his crew installed everything in one day, even though the job was scheduled for two days.  Not only that but they installed two days earlier than scheduled because the windows came in quicker than expected.  They arrived right on time and did a great job.  When they finished, everything was cleaned up and the windows looked amazing.  I would definitely recommend them to my friends and plan to use them again.  Thanks Steve!!!

They did a great job from beginning to end. The owner, Steve, came out to my house the same day I called to measure and go over options for our front door. He helped me pick not only the door that fits in well with the style of our house but also the hardware. Once I ordered the door, it was only about 10 days until he and his staff came to install. They came exactly when they said they would show up and did a great job. I also asked him to take a look at a few of the interior doors that did not shut completely and he fixed them while he was there. They now close better than when they were initially installed. Before they left, the did a great job of cleaning. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and use them again.

I highly recommend South Bay Door & Window.  We purchased our "fixer-upper" home a few years ago.  We knew that our home needed several improvements including new windows and doors.  When we originally purchased the house we were eager to start improvements, but estimates were extremely high and recommendations varied...as a new home owner...I didn't know who to trust.  So we decided to postpone our home improvements and save up for the much needed work.  We recently had water damage that forced us to start our improvements, so back to the drawing board of estimates.  I spent time reading reviews and was excited to read positive reviews about South Bay Doors and Windows and how they are willing to work with their customer's budgets.  I immediately called them during non-business hours to leave a message to inquire about an estimate.  I received a quick response the next business day and had a great initial contact with Robert who listened attentively to our needs.  I then met Steve and he came to our home to take measurements for windows and doors.  I was impressed!  His recommendations for the windows and doors were spot on.  Steve is very knowledgeable and professional.  I appreciated that he took the time to explain exactly what windows and doors are best for our home.  He also had great design advice!  I felt fully informed and comfortable to move forward with our project with South Bay Doors and Windows.  Steve even allowed us to phase our project into two steps to help with our budget.  After the arrival of the new doors and windows, Dan the installer arrived to work his magic.  Dan also took the time at the beginning of the day to explain what he would do for the day and at the end of the day reviewed the progress of the work.  He even taught us all the benefits of our Milgard windows, which by the way are fantastic!  We knew exactly what was happening at each step along the way.  He paid attention to detail and hauled away and cleaned up exceptionally well.  It was great to see someone work so hard and take such pride in their work. I am so appreciative of the help of Steve and Dan.  Our house looks absolutely amazing!  Like a brand new home!   I highly recommend South Bay Doors and Windows and can't wait to complete the second phase of our project with them.  It is priceless to find a company you can trust!

I knew for some time that I needed to fix my door that goes into the garage and that my windows were old and should be replaced but of course I put it off forever. Eventually I decided enough is enough and I'm going to get some more info and some quotes. I finally decided on using this company because they had a great reputation and they have been around for a while. I was very pleased with the work that was done by the very nice people from the office to the installer and will definitely recommend them to anyone needing window or door repair or replacement and will use them for myself in the future too. 

I had been living in my home for years and begin experiencing leaky windows. My friend referred us to South Bay Door & Window who hired them to install new windows in her Manhattan Beach home. Her windows are beautiful and she's been happy with them ever since they were installed.
I contacted South Bay Door & Window myself, and was equally impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable their staff was when I initially called about our situation. They put my concerns at ease, scheduled an estimate right away and walked us through the solutions for our home. They even showed up on time, which was a plus! After experiencing much rain, but without the leaks, we're extremely thrilled with their service and the outcome!
I've since hired them again to help us with replacing our doors, since they were so helpful with our windows. We got French doors that go out to the balcony and ones that go out to the patio. They made sure to preserve the look of our home, which has been important from the start!

On 12/04/12, a 50% deposit down of $1500 was required to order. About 02/07/2013, the door was delivered to the store. On 02/21/2013, the owner, Steve and his co-worker installed the door.
The stucco had to be bullnosed into the door frame. We called another stucco contractor to repair the plaster inside and stucco outside. Unfortunately, this contractor sent another employee to repair. He pushed too much plaster behind the door frame which caused the door frame to bow. Steve and crew returned to put on the trim and saw that the door frame was not straight anymore. He was kind enough to come back and cut out the excess plaster behind the frame so the door would swing and close properly.

I bought an older house in Westchester a few years ago and finally got around to replacing my windows and doors.  Living by LAX, 2 blocks away, I had the ugly retrofitted doublepaned windows LAX gave to us in the 90's and an aluminum patio slider that probably peaked asthetically never, and neither did much to reduce the airport noise. 
 
A friend of mine recently replaced their windows and recommended South Bay Door & Window.  
 
I called and spoke with Marci, she was really helpful and was able to coordinate scheduling and the estimate.  The owner himself came out and did the measurements, he talked to me briefly about what my best options were and then suggested I come down to the showroom to check out what they had.  Knowing I had a limited budget for what I needed (double paned isn?t cheap), the owner walked me through what kind of windows would keep the noise out but gave me a range of prices to choose from.  Dan and Rick came out for the installation and were really nice, I have 3 barky dogs they were very patient with and careful to work around.  The owner stopped by during the installation to check on the job and make sure I was happy, which I appreciated.  I guess when LAX or whoever last updated the windows installed the old ones they did a patchwork job of it and it made things a little more difficult but Dan and Rick didn't complain.  As a very nice bonus, they knew I was planning on replacing my ugly security screen door so they took it off and hauled it away for me.

As a single woman homeowner, it's important to me that I can trust not only the quality of service and product, but who I let into my home.  From the jump this place was not only professional but made me feel comfortable allowing them into my house.  They were always respectful and I would absolutely use them again in the future.
