Goodrich Construction provides an array of residential and commercial construction services. Whether you are building a new home, upgrading your interior/exterior or performing regular maintenance, we have the experienced staff to help you with your construction project. Our Design-Build team assists with setting a budget, planning, organizing and implementation of your project. Our staff and subcontractors will follow all code requirements. We will monitor your project throughout the construction process, and respect your individual and family needs throughout the job. 1. The allocations that were included in the price quote were at the very low end so any upgrade meant a significant price increase. Also, there was no allocation at all for some items which are really required such as a vanity mirror (we went with a mirrored medicine cabinet), cabinet pulls, and bathroom accessories like towel bars. As a result our final cost was well above our expectations which was based on the contractor quote. We knew going over your budget is probably typical for any remodel job but we were well above our expected 10 - 20%.
2. The schedule for the initial demo and rough-in work was well defined but a detailed schedule estimate for the overall job would have been nice.
3. We selected a marble counter top after looking at many options. Typical of most marbles there are lots of veining and surface variations; however, after it was installed we noticed a crack that was more then just a surface crack. Although the crack didn't affect the function of the counter, we were surprised the crack was not pointed out and discussed before the installation. However, Don replaced the counter top at no additional cost to us.
4. Don was helpful in giving us input on design decisions, but we had hoped to get a computer design showing material, color and design options/selections to help in the design process, but a computer design was not generated since it was such a small project. We are using Goodrich Construction to do our Master Bathroom remodel and expect to get computer design models to help in the detailed design decisions.
Overall we are very happy with the results of the hall bathroom remodel and as previously mentioned we are using Goodrich Construction to do our Master bathroom remodel.
