We just bought our first house, and it was a bit of a fixer upper.  There was quite a bit of work that needed to be done - there were leaks in the main drain line (as well as in the kitchen and laundry room), the existing water heater hadn't worked for years, various sink hardware needed to be replaced, and  the kitchen sink barely drained.  Drain King was recommended by a close friend, so we decided to give them a try.  We were really impressed by how knowledgeable the team was, and by how quickly they were able to complete all of the work.  They were very personable and didn't try to upsell us.  We were really happy with the price for the amount and quality of the work done.  Overall it was a great experience!

While washing my dishes I noticed the water started backing up in the sink, I turned on the Garbage disposal, thinking it needed to be ran and it made a weird noise. I tried everything I knew to get the water down and the disposal unclogged...nothing worked. I called a friend of mine who referred me to Drain King. The owner answered my phone call and let me know he will be at my home the next day to see what the problem was. Very prompt! I appreciated that since no one wants to wait around for the service guy to show up when you have tons of things to do. He informed me of my problem and within an hour or so it was fixed and my wallet was still full because he didn't over charge me. I am a Real Estate Agent and I now refer him to all my clients and for my own personal use and will continue to do so. The prices are fair, work is excellent and the customer service is exceptional!

My tenant called Friday evening heading into the 3-day Labor
Day weekend saying the toilet was overflowing and the plunger was not doing the
trick.  I found Drain King Plumbing on
Angie?s List and spoke with Yanick at 8:30pm.
He said he could get someone out early Saturday morning as early as 7am
which worked well for my tenants who were heading out of town.  Yanick provided a range of likely outcomes
and corresponding service charges.  As
expected, the toilet needed augering to clear the blockage.  Yanick followed up with a text advising of
the outcome and how things went.  I
appreciated that he accommodated both my needs and my tenants needs and that he
was good about informing me after the job had completed.  As he said he would, he emailed me an invoice
on the next business day.  I believe his
fee was very reasonable.  I plan on using
Drain King next time I need work done.

Excellent. Prompt response to phone call, two guys (Yanick and Terry), on time, professional, quick, completed all work same day and a great price. Drains are working great. Definitely will call on them if needed in the future.

Was in the middle of repairing a running toilet and decided it was time for a new one. Went to Lowe's and purchased the new toilet. Started calling plumbers to see if someone could install on short notice. Drain King answered their phone immediately (others had an answering machine) and they came to install the toilet within 30 minutes. The toilet was a new design and a pain to install. They completed the job and even went to the hardware store to buy a longer water feed line becuase the new design required a different assembly point. The gentleman was very professional and a quick worker.

We scheduled a time for the work to be done, Yanik showed up on time, was friendly and professional and was right about the need to replace the stems which had corroded over time. The replacement of the three stems cost $30 bringing the total of the job to $105 - well worth it.
I was very pleased with the work and Yanik that I referred him to a friend of mine before he left my place.

2nd review in 2 months. In April, Yanik (owner of Drain King Plumbing) came out to fix a problem with a clogged drain from my kitchen and bathroom sinks. While in the crawl space, Yanik fixed a pin hole leak in a copper pipe. He did a great job, and deserved the "A" rating I gave him at the time. (Please see the other review for details.)
He explained at the time that the pipes were "M" type copper, which is thinner than the "L" type that he typically uses, and were fairly old (33 years), and explained that I will probably get more pin hole leaks in the future.
Well, unfortunately, he was right. A pin hole leak occurred in a different pipe in the crawlspace, and spewed lots and lots of water, actually causing drywall damage to the downstairs ceiling and walls. Yanik came and clamped the hole shut and placed a fan in the crawlspace to dry the area. The fan will be there for about 3 days, at which time Yanik will come back and assess the situation.
Once again, Yanik was professional, polite and efficient.
I guess it is time to bite the bullet and have my house re-piped.

For decades, I have had a problem with a clog in my pipes that caused the upstairs kitchen sink/garbage disposal and bathroom sink to back up. I used chemicals to clear the drains with success until recently. I called one plumber, who spent an hour trying to snake the pipes, but couldn't clear them, so he stopped trying so he could get to another job. To his credit, he didn't charge me anything since he couldn't fix the problem!

I then called Yanik at Drain King. Yanik came over and also couldn't snake the pipes. (The house was built by the the prior owner who sometimes had a different take on how things go together.) Yanik crawled through the very small crawlspace between the floors and discovered a previous plumber had connected a 'Y' pipe fitting incorrectly, leaving only a hole the size of a nickel for the water and food waste to go through. Yanik said he was suprised my pipes weren't clogged up all the time.

Yanik fixed the problem. It took him quite a few hours to snake, troubleshoot, discover and fix the problem. Working in the small crawlspace is no easy task.

While in the crawlspace, Yanik fixed a pinhole leak in my copper plumbing. I have had my 'M' rated copper plumbing in place for about 33 years, and apparently the pipe walls are thinning, at least in some of the pipes. With absolutely no hard sell, Yanik explained that pinhole leaks are caused by the thinning copper pipes, so I will probably have to replace them sometime soon. When that time comes, I'll probably go with Yanik, the Drain King.
