Excellent service is what I received recently from Arneson Plumbing. I had an emergency water leak under my house. Les from Arneson was the first to call me and over the phone quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem. He provided a quote which is what I paid when the work was done. No price uppers! The work was performed by Kevin, who was on time and extremely knowledgeable. He not only quickly made the repairs, but he also gave me lots of advice and answered my many questions. Arneson Plumbing is a very professional company and they use first rate tools and equipment. On top of all this, the cost for such quality work was very affordable. I highly recommend Arneson and plan to use them again in the future. Thank you Les and Kevin. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

I was wrestling for almost 2 days with a clogged kitchen sink that subsequently caused my dishwasher to back up as well. In the past, I was able to clear the garbage disposal on my own...this time I needed help from the pros. I looked up Angie's list for qualified plumbers and Arneson was the first to (immediately) call me and dispatched Kevin within an hour of the call. Kevin arrived on time, gave me both a time and cost estimate, and got the job done as quoted. His work was quick and efficient; he also went the extra mile to clean up and helped me look under the dishwasher for pooled water. I appreciate the work he did and also his polite and no-fuss demeanor. I would call on Arneson again for my plumbing needs - thanks again, Kevin!!!!

Once I spoke with Les on the phone and described the problem, he said he would be out to the house within an hour.  In fact he was there in about 30 minutes.  He gave me an idea of the cost over the phone, brought the necessary materials with him and took care of the problem quickly.  The area was cleaned up before leaving.  Les also pointed out another problem with the filter for the heating system which we will have fixed in the near future.  I was happy with the service and will use his company again in the future.

Friendly, clean, professional, knowledgeable.   The entire process took just under two hours, from arrival to clean-up.  I really should have done this sooner!  I probably would have saved money on cleaning supplies and such.  I think I've found our new local Redondo Beach plumber!  Thanks Kevin and Les!.

I called Led Arneson, the owner, to have a clogged drain line cleaned out. He sent "Kevin" one of his employees, who responded promptly by snaking my line and ensuring it was cleaned out and working properly. Kevin arrived on time, was professional, honest, and had the best attitude I've ever seen in a plumber. He cleaned up everything and answered all my questions. He also gave me some good suggestions about remodeling 2 of our bathrooms. All in all a very positive experience. Will definitely use Arneson plumbing and contracting again!

Background:  We purchased a townhome unit that had an old gas water heater that had not been installed to code and posed safety hazards.  The short, gas water heater had been installed in a low-ceiling (50? tall) utility closet behind the garage.  The vent pipe had a slightly downward slope instead of an upward slope meaning that noxious gases may not escape to the outside at a fast enough rate, and there were combustible materials (paper of drywall, floor joists, etc) within 1 inch of the vent pipe, which posed a fire risk.  To complicate matters, we found out that California had recently banned, for our zip code, conventional gas water heaters short enough to fit safely in our utility closet behind the garage.  We even looked into going electric, but that would require upgrading our electrical service and higher electric bills as a last resort option.  We concluded that a tankless gas, condensing water heater was the most feasible route.  Because the venting from the utility closet to the room ran 40 feet, stainless steel piping would?ve been cost-prohibitive, so to minimize costs, we went with PVC piping which is now used for condensing tankless water heaters.  From the online reviews, many have had good experiences with Noritz condensing tankless water heaters.
I met with 12 plumbing companies in all?all highly-rated on Angie?s List, Yelp, etc--to assess the situation and they gave their recommendations.  Four companies didn?t want to take on this job due to the jobs? complexity.  Five companies submitted bids that came in lower but had questionable recommendations that went against what I had researched and general common sense.  That left three candidates and we wanted to make sure that this job was done right for our peace-of-mind and the remaining three companies.  I knew I wanted a Noritz condensing tankless water heater and saw on Noritz?s website that Arneson Plumbing & Heating was a preferred Noritz installer.  I called up Arneson to schedule an appointment and Les, the owner, came out to assess the situation.  He was very friendly and upfront about what was involved for the tankless retrofit project.  You can tell he is a stickler for doing things the right way (?to code?) and unlike some plumbers I had met with, he recommended that I get a permit pulled for this to ensure that it was done right.  Everything he said was consistent to what I had researched and I felt comfortable that he wasn?t going to take shortcuts. He also mentioned that the city inspectors knew him from the many water heater inspections he?s done over the years in the area.
The entire job took roughly two-and-a-half days to complete.  I was on site to observe their work for the duration of the project and I can confidently say that Les, Kevin, and Guillermo executed their game plan very well and were attentive to the details.  As a value-add, Les referred me to his roofer and drywall contractor who did excellent work at a very reasonable rate.   Overall, I?m very satisfied with the workmanship and how Les and his team communicated with me from the initial site visit to the project's completion.
