Description of Work: Updated my kitchen which hadn't had anything done to it since built in 1976. We didn't need to knock down any walls or reconfigure anything, it just needed to be updated. He first helped me find a kitchen cabinet refacing company, then Alex coordinated the work for me. He was there everyday while the cabinets were refaced (as I had to go to work) and he moved all the appliances & furniture for me, then put up plastic to protect other areas of the house from dust and debris. He even helped me set up a temporary kitchen in an adjacent bathroom so I could make coffee in the morning! After the cabinets were refaced he then helped me select new porcelain countertop & backsplash tile which he installed. Work included demo of the old countertops which were set in mortar and wire - what a mess that was! He set a new flush mounted kitchen sink and new fixtures for me & replumbed under the sink. Also had to rebuild the area under the kitchen sink because of years of water leaks had rotted the floor of the cabinet. (Hint: we layed vinyl tile inside that cabinet to protect it from any future water leaks!) He set a new dishwasher and refrigerator w/ice maker for me. Due to my budget constraints he suggested we install new vinyl floor tile rather than the wood flooring I eventually want to put in. He removed two layers of old vinyl sheet flooring then installed plywood underlayment to level out the existing flooring. It looks great and was a good alternative for me at this time.
