Antiques
I was looking for a Christmas gift for my wife, and I stumbled across this store. Decades ago,I used to shop for antiques along Outer Hwy. in Redlands. It was nicknamed Antique Row then because of all the antique stores there. Now, they are all gone except for this one. It seems like economic Darwinism because this store is top quality. It's not one of those warehouse-type stores with acres of consignment booths filled with garage store trinkets. It is more of a boutique, and there is an emphasis on art, jewelry, furniture, and books. Kathy, the owner, is very knowledgeable and friendly. She asked me some questions about my wife's taste in jewelry, then offered some helpful suggestions without being at all pushy. I am generally clueless about jewelry, so I appreciated the guidance. Her prices seemed very reasonable. My wife was very happy with the cameo necklace I chose for her.
