After making an appointment to have a spray in bed liner applied to my 2010 Ford F-150, I was rescheduled twice by Totally Trucks. Their explanation was that they were installing a new spray system and that it was taking longer than expected. I finally got it in on the third appointment and have to admit that I was initially pleased with the results. I was primarilly looking for flaws in the paint itself and overspray and did not see either. After a couple of months I started to notice a white drip streak appearing on the back of the tailgate, starting at the Ford logo and dripping down about 8 inches. Upon closer inspection, it appeared that the protectant clear seal over the paint had been eaten away by a corrosive and as time went by it became more pronounced. 3 months after the application I went back to Totally Trucks and asked one of the counter people if they used a corrosive to prep the beds before they sprayed them. He said yes, they use acitate. I then took him outside and showed him the mark on the tailgate. He said that their acitate could not have done that because they remove the tailgate and lay it flat to apply the acitate. I said isn't it possible that the acitate dripped into the tailgate interior, settled in the lowest point (The Ford logo) and when picked up dripped down the exterior of it? He said no, not possible. He suggested I must have been hauling something corrosive and it spilled. I told him my truck had hauled nothing but furniture since I bought it new. Since it was apparent that he would not even entertain the idea that their acitate had eaten away my clear seal finish, I left and have not done business with them since. I would not recommend Totally Trucks for a spray in bed liner but if you decide to anyway, take pictures of your vehicle paint beforehand and then closely examine the paint afterwards.
