1. Tom was hired to replace our freezer door on a bran new unit that was damaged on delivery. They did not put the door back correctly creating a new issue having no water. The technician never tested it the repairs to make sure everything was working or did test it and left it broken to be discovered by the customer. When I called and talk with Tom, he thinking he knows what the problem is described it as a rubber tube that just fell out of the refrigerator, a manufacture defect, stating they have not choice but to place rubber piece where the manufacture instructed them to place it and that is why it just fell out out the door. Toms remedy, in a week he offered to come and cut it off! Tom is willing to ruin a bran new refrigerator!! 2. As an update to quality of work, opened our refrigerator and discovered a screw laying in it. 3. Additional defective workmanship! Hanging plug! How much money do you get from insurance companies to fix your defective services?

$254
The worst of all experiences. We had a flooded house and Tom determined it was due to a weeping valve in the Whirlpool washing machine. He replaced it at a cost of $254. After we had run a load of wash a week later we discovered that the machine was leaking through the front door seal (gasket). When I asked for a second service I was denied because Tom thought I was being critical of his service. Quite the contrary, we just wanted the leaking machine fixed.
Response from Tom's Appliance Service
"Obviously you thought my service was great because you wanted me back,I deal with facts ,you stated that one week later you washed and it leaked ,yet you called a month later, this was a home owners insurance claim and I don't replace parts that are not needed just because an insurance company is paying for it,after 30 years of fixing appliances I know a good door gasket when I see one,I think it was very rude of you to review me in such a negative way just because I refused to replace a door seal that didn't need replacing,I am known for honest quality work, and this review really hurts my feelings. Thank you Tom"

Overall I wasn't very happy with their service but maybe I would have been if I had called them back and told them that the problem wasn't fixed. The renter determined immediately that it wasn't fixed so I don't know why the repairman said it was fixed when it wasn't.
Response from Tom's Appliance Service
"I truly wish you would have called me ,I could have explained to you that your renter wanted a new machine in the worst way so lm not surprised that they told you it wasn't fixed ,it was 100% fixed we removed all the debri that was clogging the wash module and tested it , Sorry you got hoodwinked into replacing the unit, Thank you Tom"

The air circulation fan in our refrigerator started making an increasingly loud noise that I concluded was a failed bearing, so we shut off the refrigerator to limit the damage and called Tom's Appliance to get it repaired. Tom returned our call right away and offered to
fit us in at the end of the day if his service calls wrapped up early. He kept us informed and in the end had to schedule for the next day. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem as simply ice build-uparound the fan -- likely caused by the door seal that was out of its groove, which led to a slow accumulation of ice over time. Tom re-seated the seal and charged us only his standard rate for a service call. It appears that his diagnosis was correct -- the refrigerator has been working fine since.
I was very pleased that Tom was able to quickly identify and fix the real problem, charging no more than his reasonable service call rate.
