The City of Redding, California is also a residential utility provider. I have been using them for electric. Despite the fact that my bill is paid on time I am assessed a late payment fee of $16.00. I have called their customer service and they are very rude. The customer service people state that rules are if payment is one day late a $16.00 late fee is assessed. On the back of the bill it states a late fee will be assessed when the bill is 15 days late. I have never paid my bill 15 days late.
