The company promised to have a repair person out within two hours of my call and they arrived within the time window promised. The service man was polite, professional and did a very efficient job; he even checked over my other opener, lubricating all points without my asking. VERY pleased with the work and highly recommend this company

Overhead Door (Now known as Nor Cal Garage Door Co) was very professional and quick to respond. I received same day service on the day I called for help. Dave was very pleasant and called before arriving. He adjusted two doors and openers, greased and lubricated all the hinges, the springs and the screw mechanisms. Then he answered all my questions and instructed me on how to take care of my garage doors so they would last longer. I would definitely call them again and will plan on hiring them to replace my doors in the future! Thank you Nor Cal for excellent service!

After the initial estimate he said he would get back in touch with me within a few days. However, he did not. After several weeks I was able to make contact and was told the parts had been ordered. They gave me a price and said it would be 3-4 weeks. Its been about 2 months now and I have been attempting to reach them from time to time but can never get through.

We were given their name by a contractor so assumed they would be a good provider.  We asked them to come by so they could match the existing door.  Heard from them again when they called with an estimate and was told it would be 4-6 weeks for a special order.  Next contact was when they came to install the new door.  The installer  told us the door  he had would not fit and wasn't even close to being the correct one.  He told us we would be contacted by the office, probably that day.  We didn't hear from anyone for several weeks and then got a call to schedule installation.  Told them we had contacted another contractor and the new door had been installed the previous day.  

It was really good. They do what they are supposed to do. The people were nice to work with. We were very pleased with them. The price was okay; they were fine.

In wee hours of morning on return from work today, found the garage door open. Discovered the safety sensor on one side had popped off, preventing the door from closing (door opener safety feature operating correctly). Popped the safety sensor back on and the door closed but it popped off again as a broken strip of metal on the bottom door cable anchor bracket caught on the sensor mount. The door stopped closing and opened fully again. I had the gestalt that trouble was lurking so I backed out my wife's car into the drive in case the door would not open again (her car was not stuck in the garage when she went to work this morning!). When I replaced the sensor again, the door came down and then the broken bracket strip caught again against something else and curled to up and around causing the door to jam in a very skewed position and partially still open. I could not budge the door open or closed. I went to bed and slept while my wife got in her un-trapped car and went to work.
When I got up, I called Overhead Door of Redding after reading Angie's List reviews. The lady who answered the phone listened to my problem, agreed it was a home security risk and took my information. I told her that I had to leave for work at 2p so needed someone before that (this was around 10:50a). I got a call back about 10 minutes later telling me a repairman was leaving for my house to do the repair. Shannon arrived about 15 minutes later. He was very professional, and assessed the problem. He set about to un-jamb the askewed catty-whompus door, removed the ripped bottom bracket, and called the office to send a guy out for the replacement part (one I'm told does not break often). He had it all fixed in less than an hour or less. Price fair and reasonable considering the problem was somewhat analogous to a broken frozen water pipe that requires an emergency repair and in that situation a rather fat plumber's "emergency" additional charge is often applied--none here. Very happy with the service and especially the response time.

It was fine and they fixed what I needed fixed. They did the job professionally. They had to order a part that they didn't have so we had to wait for it but other than that it was fine. I didn't compare their prices but I thought it was reasonable. I didn't have anything to complain about.

In summary, employees, including the owner, could not provide pricing even when the customer provided specifications, model number for a product they carry on their own Web site. It surprised me that they were not familiar with the product on their Web site, or they did not even take the time to recommend another product that would be suitable for my project.
Very unprofessional, and a disappointing experience.

Broken spring locked my car in the garage. I Called Overhead and they arrived thirty minutes after my call,and thirty minutes later my car was set free. Wonderful serviceman, great service over the phone. I won't use anyone else ever.. Thank you Overhead Door

I used to do this for a living, and I was very impressed by their professionalism, and their quality of work.

I thought that the spring bar on my garage door was broke because it looked so. Instead of changing the whole spring bar and making more money, they fixed it. I thought that they were honest. They just charged me $70 to come out here and fix everything. It works great now. He could have replaced the whole spring if he wanted to but he didn't. He didn't do more than he needed to do. He did what made it better without me spending more money. That was good. I really do trust him as far as doing a good work and being honest.
