Called Brown's Plumbing for septic service.  They charged me $160.00 to find the septic tank when I was standing on top of it telling them where to dig to find the lids which was only about 4" under the ground.  He opened the tank and pumped it a total cost of $580.00.  We discovered that the water wasn't leaching so a couple of days later they came back with a backhoe and operator to dig up the distribution box.  The box was gone (disintegrated) so a new distribution box needed to be installed. The backhoe and operator was in actual use for about 20 minutes.  He didn't seem to be very experienced as he had to take instruction from the first guy that came to do the job on how to dig the line.  As I said the lines are only about 6 to 10 inches under the ground.  Didn't really need a hoe.  They charged me for the 4 hours the operator was there basically doing nothing at $80.00 and hour and $200.00 for the hoe which sat there unused.  They charged me $300.00 to hydro-jet the leach lines.  One line did fine.  On the other line the hydro-jet wouldn't go down the line.  He told me the line was probably collapsed and would have to be replaced.  At that point I said no more.  I can dig up the other line to see if it is collapsed myself and I will go from there.  I borrowed a hoe and we dung it up.  Didn't take long to discover that the leach line took a 90 degree angle and that is why the hydro-jet would not go down it, not that it was clogged or collapsed.  We ran a hose down it and it is leaching just fine.  By the time they were done the total cost as about $2300.00.  I was flabbergasted.  Later in relating my story to friends they all said "Oh no!!!  You didn't call them!!  They are the worst in town!!!!  My advice is " DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"

They installed the septic tank and after thirty days or so the pump stopped working. I called them to try to fix the problem and honor their guarantee but they wouldn’t. The entire process they just fought with me. The office staff had no customer service at all. I wouldn’t recommend using this company to anyone.
