Jay and his crew were fantastic.  The part they do is less expensive than that portion of the cost of having one company do all aspects of an addition.  I got bids from several of the higher-ranked Angies' List companies that do it all, and the price was significantly higher.  Then a neighbor showed me his addition, and highly recommended Zoo Crew.  Not only was this part of the work less expensive, but Jay did a fabulous job, and there were no notable areas that needed fixing following San Ramon's very picky inspections.  Jay also discussed options as he went, and was extremely flexible.  He also provided several options each for guys he has worked with that do plumbing, sheetrock, stucco, ductwork, and insulation, and they not only did a good job, but at a substantial savings.  On top of the excellent work and monetary savings, Jay and his on-site working lead, Jose, were entirely trustworthy.  I had no concerns whatsoever about leaving the house while they were working there.  Jay was there every day, too, and always quick to respond when he was at another site.
If you are building an addition, whether it be a first or second story one, definitely get a quote from Jay Dynes at Zoo Crew.  I assure you that, provided you are willing to hire separate contractors for the other parts of the job (which is not all that difficult), you will be extremely happy with the quality and savings.

Jay and his crew did a tremendous job adding value and beauty to our home. He offered suggestions on design in the beginning which was probably not his role usually, but his ideas made the room much more than we could have dreamed of when we designed it. Jay delivers what he promises and was the most reliable contractor we have ever used. he completed the project on time, and even performed some services afterward which he never asked for additional pay. I would not hesitate to use his company again, he is an honest, reliable person who knows his business. Our room has a huge walk-in shower, and windows which bring the outside indoors as we view our landscape and trees in the backyard.

It went great!  Jay is as honest and conscientious as you can get! Their work was great and their referrals and help with the entire process definitely made our job as a "GC' manageable!
