I'm not going to write a opinion statement about Lori Slade. I'll just describe our misfortune and why we'll never use or recommend her: We were looking to purchase a house when the inspector said the AC didn't work. Our agent contacted Funk Air (the last company to service it). He said the system was fine. I went to the house with Lori. After some time she finally agreed the AC wasn't working. She called Funk and went to the house with him to confirm his work. She came back to us with a service report that said he fixed it. She verified his work. She said the air was coming out cold. We moved forward with the purchase at the end of May & added a warranty that Lori 'generously' took out of her commission. A few days later we started the cleaning & some painting. It got warm, so we turned on the AC...no cold air. We called Funk back. He went on the roof for less than 5 minutes, came down and said the entire unit was shot. The compressor exploded & the entire unit needed to be replaced. As he left he casually mentions to my wife (who was in tears!) "At least you have a warranty." Funny...we didn't tell Funk we had a warranty. Also funny...our agent/broker Lori Slade suggested the warranty to us after she met with Funk. Since the sale, Lori text us once in early July to see if we had AC. We told her the warranty company and repair company (NOT Funk!) wouldn't be able to get to us until the end of July. We also told her the warranty was going to come up $1035 short of the repair. She said she would make some calls to her "contacts." That was the last we ever heard from her. Today, July 28, is our first day with AC. Almost exactly 2 months after moving in.
