I took to Angies list to see if I find a good and honest mechanic to help my elderly dad. My dad owns an older Kia Sportage and we were pretty certain that a different mechanic was clearly scamming him, so after reading the great reviews for Paul's Japanese Auto Repair, I gave them a call and was lucky enough to speak to the owner, John. I explained to him the situation and asked if he would take care of my dad. He said he would, and he did not disappoint. My dad took his car in for a checkup and guess what. They didn't find anything wrong! We were pretty impressed as that speaks volumes to their honesty and integrity. My dad will be bringing his car to them going forward, no questions asked. Excellent experience, as always. I've been taking our mini-fleet of vehicles to Paul's for over 10 years. During routine service, they discovered that my front brake pads were worn out, along with the rotors (original had been on my Ranger for over 12 years and 170,000 miles). They repaired at a fair price and were done earlier than I expected. Very fair and honest shop!

My brakes were making noise and it seemed like a while since they were replaced so I took them in to be checked.  I expected a call confirming my suspicion.  Instead I got a call tellling me they were fine.  It is hard to find someone this honest these days.  I won't forget them the next time I need something done to my car.

They are honest. Their customer service is great and they are very professional.

We have taken my wife's 1999 Honda Accord to Paul's Japanes Auto Repair for regular maintenance, brake replacement and engine repair for the last 7-8 years. They were recommended to us by a AAA Auto Tow Truck driver when the alternator on our Accord went bad. Since this repair, we have taken our vehicle in for brake, timing belt and stereo/receiver replacement, as well as regularly scheduled maintenance. Not once have we had to go back for repeat work on the same problem. These guys provide a high level of quality service, at a very reasonable/competitive price. We have had only positive experiences with these guys, and would refer them to family and friends.

They are fantastic. I am typically skeptical of any auto mechanic. I have had some negative experiences in the past. However, Paul's earned my trust when they became the second mechanics ever to say, "We don't see a problem. And if something is wrong, it certainly isn't an emergency. Come back if it acts up." I trust mechanics who are willing to tell me that nothing is wrong. That type of honesty makes me a long term customer. I originally found these guys through a recommendation from my Realtor (when we first moved into town). It was a great recommendation. They have been reliable, fair, honest, and affordable in all of their dealings with us. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We have been customers of Paul's for many years. John goes out of his way to make sure he is taking care of you and your car. He even sent us back to the dealer once because he felt the issue with our Honda was something they should address and we should get a break on the price with them as it was a recurring problem with Pilots. He was right and saved us $500. We take our Ford as well as our Japanese cars to Paul's and have never been dissatisfied with the service. 
Two of our cars are around 200,000 miles and still going strong.

It went well. The service was performed as advertised and we have nothing to complain about.

They were affordable, they seem to be pretty honest and they gave us a quote on some other stuff we needed done and I know it needed to be done but they didn't try to sell us anything that I know didn't need to be done.

We will return for all so our automotive repair needs. He is thorough and explains in detail the work he does. Honest!

Charged me less than what was stated on the wall. He sent someone with a car to pick me up.  They are really great people!  They are the nicest people.

We just moved to CA from TX and found Paul's on Angies List...all the reviews were accurate! These folks are wonderfull! So knowledgeable, so helpful and we were treated with kindness and respect. We were getting ready to drive to ID for vacation and needed the vehicle inpsected. We called Paul's Japanese Auto and they were able to get the car serviced and returned by 4:00pm same day. In addition, we needed a smog test to register the vehicle and they transported it to the smog shop at no cost. I am so glad that I've found someone to service my Honda Pilot.

I've been going to Paul's Japanese Auto repair for a couple years and have found them to have the best price, best service and most trustworthy technicians of any auto service shop I've ever experienced.
