Continuing to use this company was a big mistake. They do shoddy work so you have to ask to come back again. Having them do maintenance on my AC unit was a big mistake and I would have been fine had I not done anything at the end of June.
On 9/8/15, my AC unit doesn't blow any cold air and it's about 95 degrees outside and 86 degrees inside my house. I leave a message for their answering service to call me back. I know they open at 7am so I wait until 8am for my return phone call.
**NOTHING** So don't waste your time with their answering service because they don't check their messages when they come in the morning. I decided to call them and request a TECH to come out to my house to fix my AC unit.
The person (lady) who answers the phone is a bit rude and has an attitude. I get transferred to the person who schedules the appointments (another lady). Boy, she was very condescending and rude to me. Told me that I would have to wait until October 15th because they are all booked up. Wow, you expect me to wait for 1 month for service?
What kind of business treats its customers this way? They have zero concept of customer service and acted like I was bothering them. Never mind the heatwave we were having and that fact that I had a 1 year old little girl at home fell on deaf ears. They would not budge nor try to help me in anyway.
They had to nerve to accuse of me of trying to cut corners on an AC unit that had a warranty that expired 1 year ago. Didn't even bother to look up my account and see that I had you clowns over my house at the end of June. So basically, their visit in June was a placebo. It did no good. However, she took the time to explain to me that an AC unit is a piece of machinery that moves. Things that move can break.
Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know my AC until was a machine until you explained it so clearly to me. Don't be scared to call another provider like I did. They try to scare you and claim that your warranty will be voided if you use someone else. Didn't you just accuse me of skipping on maintenance on my AC unit that didn't have a warranty?
The only reason why this place is in business is because they were lucky to be chosen as a vendor for Irvine Pacific Homes. Other than that, there is no reason why they are still opened today. They are not winning people over with great service.
Yes, I called someone else at 9am. The other company completely understood the situation and was over my house at 1pm. Turns out, the moron from Aliso Air that came to my house in June created a small leak in my AC unit. So even if I had the 1 year warranty, it would do no good because their workmanship is poor and they make excuses and refuse to come back and fix their own mistakes.
I never indicated that I wanted any sort of guarantee for the June appointment. I just wanted someone to come to my house and see why my AC was not working. I know my unit was not under warranty would pay them whatever it cost to fix it.
I am done with them and will never do business with any company that treats their customers so poorly.
In the spring of 2014, Aliso installed a central air unit. They were clear and upfront about the service and the cost and they completed the work in a timely and efficient manner. There was some disruption for a day or so for my tenant, but this is to be expected with a major revision and remediation in an older home. Recently, I needed to recontact them to have part of the system checked, as it was not functioning properly. This was a warranty call and it is being addressed quickly and professionally. Overall, I am very happy with their service.
If it will be our choice, I will not use them again but we have a service warranty with them.
My heating unit fan would not turn off, so they said I needed to replace the control module. They tried to charge my wife $400 for the part which I found available on the internet (same part number and mfg) for $60, plus a $100 service charge.
When I complained to the installer, he said I had to speak to his manager. Of course the manager wouldn't take my call while the installer was waiting at my house, so my wife told him to do the work anyway. When I finally got the manager on the phone later that day, I asked if they would lower the price of the part to something reasonable and they refused. I said that if they wouldn't lower the prrice that they could come back and take the overpriced part back. Instead of working with me, they sent the installer back and he took out the new part and left my heating unit in a completely non-functioning state. They still charged me $100 for the service call.
This is deplorable customer service and borderline fraud.
"The member contacted us to schedule a service technician to their home to repair their furnace. We have a diagnostic fee of $94.00 and upon our technician’s evaluation of the system, found the printed circuit board to be non-functioning. Our technician quoted the price of $306.00 to provide the new part including the installation. The homeowner gave us the approval and we completed the service call for the total of $400.00. Member called us later and asked us to lower the price since he went on the internet and found the part cheaper. We only use authorized replacement parts and are not sure the type and quality of parts that are available on the internet. Our pricing structure is very competitive in Orange County for a full service HVAC company. Unfortunately, we were unable to lower the cost of the service call to member so he requested that we come back and remove the part. We honored his request and voided his check and did not charge for the installation of the part or for the diagnostic $94.00 charge."
Aliso Air is an exception -- and an exceptional contractor. Everyone with whom we dealt was professional, patient, and fair, starting with Shawn, who estimated the work, Tony, the job supervisor, and Freddy, who managed the three-man crew and ran the job.
Shawn was always available throughout the entire job to take our call and deal with any questions that came up. He delivered exactly what he promised and made suggestions that saved us money. He was outstanding.
The crew worked under time pressure to get the job finished before the holidays, cleaned up before they went home each day, and were considerate and friendly through the entire job. They were strictly professional.
The new heating system works very well. It heats all of our rooms within minutes. The air purification system which we purchased seems to be improving my wife's allergies.
Every aspect of our experience with Aliso Air was positive. I would recommend them to anyone.
