1) Freeman, the contractor, brought his son in law and a 11 year old grandson to work . Freeman than took off most of the time , never really working on the house, the son in law was almost always 1 hour late and left early . Freeman , when asked to stay " I have other jobs" The result: terrible ceiling and paint job, very sloppy, I had to hire new painters to finish up the closets which he "forgot to do" , they had to redo his work. 2) He stole all the paint which I paid for ahead of time and he charged me "extra for materials" : When his son in law left ,he left carrying 10 lbs of paint , I saw him and asked him to leave me that paint , but he declined stating " I can bring it back nad touch up". When I asked Freeman to give me the paint , he told me that there was nothing left nor did he have the name of the paint. Only after I instisted many times did he give me the name and I had to go and buy new paint. That is how I found out that he did not use the paint I had originally picked, he used a cheap paint 3) He left a horrific mess, all electronics non functional. II had to hire an electrician to reconnect the aplliances and another handyman to help put my house back in order including shelves, books ,etc. 4) He asked for more money , " I did not calculate the closet that is 60.00 $ extra" and " the bathrooms are not in the price " and the celing in the bathromom" is extra" I have not calculated - this is a licensed contractor who has been supposely in business for 30 years... Asking a 11 year old child to work , he paid him, on my house is unacceptable and I told him. He ignored me and continued bringing the child and leaving him here with his son-in law.. A horrific experience.
