Vets are always expensive. They do follow up calls 2 to 3 times within the week following to make sure the dog is doing well.

I've been taking my dog and my cat to this vet for about a year now and I couldn't be happier.  This time around, my dog sprained her foot, so I took her in to make sure nothing was broken or too seriously wrong.  I called and was offered a same-day appointment.  The service is fast and the vets are great.  The vet laid out our options very clearly.  She examined my dog and recommended an x-ray.  Based on those results, she told me we could talk about other options, but likely that I'd just need to refrain from walking or running the dog for two weeks and administer pain meds.
I called back to check on the x-ray results a few days later and was surprised to talk to the vet herself.  She told me the results were as expected and asked me to call the office with an update on my dog in a few weeks, just to make sure she's doing well.

This is a great vet.  You can tell the people all love animals.  Our daughters dog is shy - Dr. Micco has a kind, pleasant demeanor that put Mopsy at ease.

We bring our pet to Point Vicente Animal Hospital for care and boarding. He's a happy camper when he is there. They're happy to see him and treat him well. They give very personal care and pay a lot of attention to the pet. He gets great care there. I always feel comfortable leaving him with them when we go out of town because I know he's going to be well taken care of.

Excellent. I brought the cat in one morning and they did the surgery that day.
I picked up the cat at the end of the day. She got along fine.
The office called later to be sure she was OK. The doctor is very competent and compassionate.
The assistants and office staff are caring and helpful.

The experience with them was great, wonderful. I had a bird that was sick. I like that they call me after hours. She even gave me discount for something. We ended up losing the bird and she sent me a condolence care. She's nice and staff are great, very compassionate and helpful. They were great.

My dog vomited several times in a few hours. I was concerned that she was geting dehydrated.Also I was concerned that she might have swallowed a sock since I could not find my sock. Since I work during the day and since they did not have a machine to scan her stomach I left my dog there in the morning for observation and re-hydration. I called to check on how she was doing and the vet at PVAH had her open in the operating table for exploratory surgery to look for the sock. Nothing at all was found. She just had an upset stomach. This was not an emergency situation. The dog was not that sick and most annoyingly they did not call me to let me know they were operating on her. They did apologize afterwards abnd said that they were implementing procedures so that this would not happen again. But I still was out more than $1800 for surgery. I paid it promptly but I will not use them again. I would not have minded paying if they had at least called me first to let me know they were going to cut her open. As it was my dog came out feeling much worse thanks to the Dr, there then when she went in. Observation and re-hydration would have been more than sufficient since the dog was not very sick at all. I just didn't want her left alone vomiting in case something more serious was wrong. I do think they are compassionate and caring about the animals... but apparently they are also very interested in taking people's money for unnecessary services.

The hospital is very good with animals. It is very hard to find a doctor for rabbits. The vet was wonderful with my rabbit and she also works in overnight emergency pet care center. She went on her way home to check on my rabbit and did a wonderful job.

I believe that they are extremely compassionate, and they spend a sufficient amount of time necessary with the animals. I don't feel as though they rush their service, and they always do a detail assessment and evaluate the screening very well.

I THINK THEY'RE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY DEFINITELY HAVE ANIMALS AND LOVE THEM. IN DOING A JOB, THEY REALLY TAKE CARE OF YOUR ANIMALS. I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. IF I'VE HAD AN EMERGENCY IN BRINGING THEM IN. THEY'RE VERY PROFESSIONAL. YOU CAN JUST TELL BY THE WAY THEY HANDLE THEMSELVES THAT THEY LOVE THEIR JOB. THEY LOVE ANIMALS. I KNOW IF I HAVE TO LEAVE MY DOG THERE I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE.
