Sears Kenmore Sewing Machine - brand new the machine cost 150.00.  He gave it a tune up and the bobbin holder was slightly loose.

First, Ron Castellanos came to our home for the repair.  We were pleasantly surprised that he came out to our home for the repair and that we did not have to take the sewing machine to him for the repair.   Our sewing machine is a Kenmore, at least 25 years old plus.  He was very knowledgeable in the operation of the sewing machine.  He checked the operation of the sewing machine, lubricated, noticed that a part was missing, which he installed and had the sewing machine working properly in no time.  We would use his services again, as well recommend his services to family and friends.

I have the 1970 something Singer Stylist 513 and suddenly, my stitch was coming out flat across the top,
perfect on the bottom and bunching up like elastic on the top...weird and i'm new to sewing so I have
NO clue!
Mr. Ron walked me through all the possibilities and nothing seemed to work,
then he mentioned the one thing, the last thing that may be the problem, and
voila, with the turn of a screw, it was fixed, in 3 Seconds!!!!
He was so kind on the phone, I had made a date to drop it off with him in a few days
and have him work on it,..... Yet, he still asked a few questions and just like that!!!
(snapping fingers sound) It was fixed.
I could tell by his voice, he was as pleased as I was!!!!  Maybe I shouldn't
write this, BUT, He did not even 'suggest' a 'Consultation Fee' which I would
have gladly paid!!!!...I FEEL his professionalism,
his integrity and customer care ARE worth a fee, I am So Grateful....
(btw: yahoo sewing machine repair advertised group wanted
$30 for a consult....with a money back gurantee...but I went to Mr. Ron because I Truly
beleive in patronizing local and small businesses) So he gets the $30 consult fee. I'm sending
it either through pay-pal or snail mail. 
His amazing assistance and repair services were worth it....
 And the Fact that he didn't ask.....
Well, what a Good Good Man!  Can you tell, i'm
just pleased as punch!  Looks like Mr. Ron may have
an addition to his service offerings!

Ron arrived on time, examined the machine, performed the services that were needed at the price we had agreed upon, and explained what he was doing as he went.  He also provided helpful tips on using and maintaining the machine.  I highly recommend his services.

Ron said he could service my sewing machine for me. He was fair with the price, and he was very nice about coming to my house or letting me drop it by his house. I brought my sewing machine to his house, he was there to greet me and told me it would take a few days to service my machine. He was right on time. I came by to pick it up, brought it home and was very happy with its performance. Runs very smooth and much quieter. I am very happy with the work. I know I will go back to him and I have told my friends about Ron.

He came right on time and did everything he said he was going to do. It was great. I was very impressed with him. The price was also very reasonable.

Ron showed up on time as promised and ready to work.  I warned him that I had tried to 'fix' my machine perviously with the help of the service manual but to no avail - as such things might actually be worse.  He quickly noticed that the needle shank was shorter than the standard length and confirmed that the correct needle length was used (yes).  The needle was also the wrong guage.  Ron also corrected the badly needed timing fiasco I had created - with no judgement (I appreciated that). 
After running the machine on a fabric scrap, he noticed that the feeder timing was a bit off, adjusted that and actually sharpened the feeder dogs so it correctly pulls the fabric instead of me pulling it from the back.  So not only does Ron have all the usual sewing machine/serger repair in his car but also a machine to 'sharpen' feeder dogs (which he insisted on doing outside so I didn't have to breathe in the metal shavings).
After another fabric scrap test, things were looking good to me but the needle gauge was still bothering him.  So he ran out to the car again to see if he had a spare needle in the correct gauge - he did - and proceeded to give me the entire pack!
Two hours after he arrived, my machine was done!  It no longer had the weird 'loose' loops, could be adjusted to have wider or narrow hem and actually pulls the fabric.  Ron took the time to explain some basic parts to me - which knobs adjusted which aspect of the stitch - which I really appreciated.  I highly recommend Ron and would definitely be calling him for all my future sewing machine repair needs.

Mr. Ron came to our home to evaluate our $25 thrift store fine, a 1976 singer stylist 513.  The feed dogs had just suddenly ceased working.
When he arrived (On Time!), he took it apart and showed us that two sets of gears which were the feed dog gears, had been stripped, due to their age and that they were plastic.  (inevitable in a 30 something year old machine).
He took the machine home with him, ordered the parts, replaced them, did a basic maintenance, returned the machine and..........Voila!!! It works wonderfully!!!!
He is kind, patient and honest....He forewarned us that it may not be worth repairing, that it may cost more than it's value and that he would let us know IF that were the case. 
I am so pleased with his service, honesty, knowledge and Very pleased that he makes house calls!  Wow!!!
Regarding my 2011 Brother Project Runway Limited Edition...since it may still be covered by warranty,
he suggested that I get the free replacement part and actually showed me how to replace it, install it
Myself!!!!  NO ONE gives such generous service, such benevolent advice these days!!!!!

I called Ron on 10/4/12 to find out if he can servce an industrial sewing machine for my Mom.  He was readily available and I made the appointment for 10/6/12.  He arrived promptly, fixed the broken part, and made other needed adjustments for the machine.  We had a little misunderstanding though...I was hoping he would replenish the oil in the machine, but he thought my Mom have her own supply of oil, which she did not.  That was the only slight disappointment....I guess I should have been more clear with what I needed.  But that would not deter me from using his services again.

My machine was snarling fabric and I didn't know why.  If I had taken the machine to a repair shop, they would have serviced my machine but I still would have been none the wiser as to what I had done to make my machine misbehave.  So, it was a wonderful to find someone who would come to my house and tell me what I was doing wrong.  I called him, and he came the following day.
Ron was here for about 45 minutes, serviced and cleaned my machine and then worked with me to make sure that I was doing things correctly.  
The best thing about Ron is that he comes to your house.  Yes, you pay more than you would if you went to a machine shop, but you don't have to schlep your machine to the shop, nor wait a week or more to get your machine back.  Forty five minutes, and I had my machine up and running again.Ron is a charming gentleman, called me to let me know when he was on his way, and was highly professional.  I am so glad I found him.

Ron is a gem!  He does excellent work, was there when he said he'd be, and nice to work with.  Not only that, he makes house calls. This was important since our old sewing machine is heavy and hard for us to take to a repair shop.  He was also very nice to my 91-year-old mother which I appreciated very much.  I highly recommend him and will use him again without hesitation.

Ron was on time, neat, courteous and professional in all regards.  He was forthcoming with insight and suggestions on the machines' repair, upkeep and use.  He also offered advice on related equipment, materials, threads, etc.  He demonstrated solid expertise in his trade, and displayed a genuine passion for the work he performs.
