We bought a home in November, 2014 and had roofers out to look at the roof. The home consists of original roof from 1979 over 2100 sqft of the house, and a 900sqft addition that was built in 2006. The original roof did not have any plywood on top of the rafters. Just tile straight on starter board. I've been told this was only allowed for 3 years in the late 70's. Randy (owner) came out and looked at the roof shortly after we purchased and let us know a roof was in our future. He cautioned us not to spend all of our remodel budget on the interior, then have it ruined due to leaks. This home was a complete fixer upper. After about a year we decided it was time for a new roof before the dreaded El Nino. We had multiple bids and narrowed it down to our top three. We chose Ridgeline due to their responsiveness, competitive bid, knowledge, and referrals. We are glad we did. The project had to be delayed a little due to rain pushing other projects ahead of us back. Prior to that, I was kept up to speed, my questions were answered in a timely manner (and I had lots of them). When the project began I was informed of the process, met the lead roofer (Jose). Randy came by daily to check on the project and answer any questions we had. Jose was one of the most pleasant workers we've ever had around, and we've hired a lot of contractors. He genuinely seemed like he enjoyed his job. Multiple neighbors have walked by and commented on the work. I pointed things out along the way and they were immediately addressed. I'm confident that if I find anything after the fact, they would be addressed as well. No one wants to have to replace a roof. We have absolutely no regrets with who we chose for this major project.
