Richleigh and Associates - Contractor is very poorly managed. Service was requested in Septemeber 9,2014. Bid was subtitled and accepted Septemebr 22, 2014. Then all h*** breaks loose. One of their agents quits, they didn't honor the bid, the charged me an additional 13,000. Refused to do work for original bid amount and made the issue go to mediation.
I submitted the above review on HomeAdvisor, Molly with HomeAdvisor contacted me and stated the review would not be published due to their relationship with the Contractor. Not only did the contract breach his contract he failed to do the work as described.

Excerpt of what I filed in Riverside Superior Court with Homeadvisor as a named Defendant
COME NOW plaintiffs, Steven and
Isidra Smith, on information obtained and secured alleges as follows.

GENERAL
ALLEGATIONS
1.
This is an action for damages based upon willful
negligence, breach of contract, and conversion on part of Richleigh and
Associates hence forth known as Richleigh (D).
2.
On or around September 02, 2014 Steven and
Isidra, hence forth known as Smith (P) utilized Home Advisor to locate a
contractor for an addition to home.
3.
On September 6, 2014 Smith was visited by
Richleigh agent Robert Quintero, said agent Robert Quintero walked the
property, provided a general scope of work and outline of what services they
can offer. At the recommendation of Richleigh, Smiths were advised to remodel all
issues with home rather than piecemeal. Smiths were given a rough estimate of
$20,000 to include a garage remodel, basement remodel, and bathroom addition.
Smiths provided consideration of $100.00 to secure current market price of
labor, parts, and building plans (EXHIBIT A). Smiths provided an additional
$100.00 for architectural plans for the home located at 4544 Edgewood Place
Riverside CA 92506.
4.
On September 18, 2004 formal arrangements were
made to re-walk the property to secure final numbers and estimate of scope of
work (EXHIBIT B). During the property walk the numbers were reconfigured due to
the nature of work and limitations on HUD requirements. It was stipulated that
the garage would not be included but would be a separate bid with a 5% discount,
and price was to be kept under $5,000. On September 22, 2014 Smith were given a
formal bid from Richleigh totaling $23,000. Bid was to include basement
remodeling and bathroom addition (EXHIBIT C). On September 29, 2014 estimate
was sent to Lender PrimLending by office manager and project coordinator Kelly
Brown. Smiths secured financing (EXHIBIT D).
5.
On December 18, 2014 it was discovered by Smith
that original agent who submitted bid was no longer with company (EXHIBIT E).  Throughout this time however, permits have
been order and plans have been secured as well. Smith inquired if original
price would be honored, and Smith was directed to owner Brain DeMoulpied. On
February 2, 2014 Smiths received revised bid with a total price of $39,950.00
to complete project (EXHIBIT F). Smiths attempted to negotiate a lower price
utilizing standard furnishings in lieu of custom, Smith also offered to pay
cash for basement conversion, which was rejected and refused.

Robert was our go to guy. He helped us make the right choices and then he got to work. The workmen were wonderful; they arrived on time and wasted no time no time. The drywallers worked quickly and they matched the exists in walls perfectly. The paint and flooring were done in 3 days and new bathroom vanities installed in a day. Everyone was pleasant, professional and cleaned up after themselves. This work was all completed in a week and while we remained in our home. It has been 3 weeks since the work was completed and I have found no flaws.
