Belman Hardscape & Pavers

Victor Belman came out himself to bid and measure the job. He was in contact everyday through out the process both by phone and frequent visits. I can't say enough about the crew. They worked extremely hard and were always very helpful and artistic as we went through the many decisions with the design. The back yard was completely transformed into a lovely inviting space. The matching driveways completed the look. Construction of this magnitude is a dirty and loud procedure. The entire company worked very hard to complete our project in a very short time span. Couldn't be more pleased with the outcome!

All went well had to provide some direction and some minor corrections. Hard working team did a great job. They were very accommodating in coordination with sprinkler systems and underground electrical. As with all best planned projects it doesn't always follow through accordingly, Belman Concrete was always willing to make revisions. Victor (owner) always willing to please, his people had discovered that I had over paid and notified me to be expecting a refund in the mail. It's nice to know there is still honesty and professionalism, as a home owner, trust is a major factor in doing business. I would highly recommend them.

Met with Victor today to provide him with the final payment and inspection.  Right from inception of the design, thru the demolition and installation of the pavers and flagstone in the courtyard our home improvement experience has been exceptional.  His team of workers were always on time, worked diligently and completed our project sooner than we expected.  The finished product is amazingly beautiful.  We could not be happier with the final results.  THANK YOU VICTOR AND CREW FOR A GREAT JOB.

We worked with the owner Victor Belman. Victor came out to give us a quote and was very interested in our ideas and made suggestions to really make the project work. We obtained quite a few quotes and Victor was by far the most professional and easy to work with for the bid process.
Once we selected Belman Concrete to do the job Victor came back out and wrote up a quote making sure that everything we had asked for was included and even a few extras (lighting on the stairs). Victor gave us a start date for the project and was right on time.
Once the project started Victor was very easy to work with and was always available for questions by cell or text. Our project lasted approximately 2 weeks and the crew was always respectful of our home and neighborhood. Whenever the weekend came they always cleaned up the working area as much as possible. 
Victor and his crew were even gracious and quick to help when my 3 year old sprayed blue spray paint on the freshly laid pavers! My husband and I had a bit of a panic attack but when we came home the next day it was like it had never happened. Phew!
Everything done was high quality including the way they hooked up the lighting on the stairs and installed the sprinkler system.
I will recommend Belman Concrete and Victor to my family and friends whenever they need outdoor work done. I highly recommend you give Belman Concrete a call for a quote. Victor and his crew are great to work with!

Here is the short recommendation:  Victor (of Belman Concrete) did a good job and I would recommend him and personally use him  again for future jobs.
Here is the long recommendation.  By the way we had an unpleasant experience with 3 previous landscaping companies, so it was welcome relief that we finally found someone who would perform well.
1. Workers were punctual and professional.  3 of the same guys stayed from start to finish and they were a nice group.
2.  Prep work for both the pavers and turf was very thorough.  Victor talked us into getting pavers which I am now glad we did.  The price was not much more than concrete and looks much better.
3.  The entire project was completed about 3 weeks ago.  So far, I haven't seen problems with buckling, cracks etc but it is early.  We had some 22 agapanthus installed, of which 3 are already dead or dying.  Otherwise, our hibiscus bushes and geraniums are doing well.
4.  Victor did not give me any headache or attitude when I changed my mind about the arrangement of the plants and grass.  I say this, because I've had previous landscapers who gave me a difficult time about this.
5. Price is reasonable.  
 6.  We did  a walk through and asked Victor to fix a few small issues.  His crew did it quickly and without any griping.  I compare this to our experience with previous landscapers, who, once finished with plants and grass, will hassle you about the money and put up resistance to fixing any problems whether great or small.  The experience is just much smoother with Victor and he wants you to be happy with your property.

I originally bought the deal for the patio, but learned later we couldn't just lay pavers over the concrete we already had.  I did not get any other price quotes, but I feel like the price was very good to excellent.  They were able to start the project on the day I requested.  Belman had about 5 men working on the site for 2 days, and on the 3rd day a single mason finished the project.  The finished project looks great, including the winding walkway which required expert masonry with lots of precision cuts of the pavers.  I only have a few critiques.  (1)  I had 2 leaks in the irrigation system under the pavers, which they repaired in a timely manner after I discovered it .  This could be expected when using jackhammers around irrigation systems, so I still grade the quality as a B.  (2) The masons were courteous and made an effort to clean up afterward, but I still found beverage bottles and a score or so brick pieces in the shrubs afterwards. (3)  Victor also is a pretty aggressive salesman, using the usual sales tactics, which is understandable, but it bothers me when he forces us to make a decision on the quoted offer on the spot.  So that's why I gave a B for professionalism.  I still give Belman an A overall, and would definitely call them again for the next project.

After signing up for the deal to install up to120 sqft of pavers for $799 , no one called for few days so I contacted Angie's list to get contact information. I left a message and on next day Victor called me to scheduled an appointment. They did very good job and victor was always polite.
There was only dirt in the area where pavers were installed. According to Victor, he needed to remove dirt at least 8 inch deep to prepare for installation of the pavers and quoted me $400. As there was nothing but dirt in the area I thought that would be part of the deal. I told him that I will get it done before scheduled installation. I paid $100 to my gardner to remove dirt from the area.
It should be clear in the advertised deal that there will be extra charge for removal of dirt in preparation of the paver installation.

They did a great job and were timely. Price was very reasonable. I received 5 different quotes. Project size was approximately 900-1,000sf. Took them about 5 days to complete. I would use them again, for sure.

Truly seamless and fast execution. They delivered lots of samples for us to choose and once selected, they came in a couple days later to complete the project.  It took them 2 days to demo and install pavers for roughly 400 square feet with a curved patio edge.  Victor's crew showed up on Friday AM and completed the demo and prep for paver install; came back on Saturday and finished the project! The crew was professional and were focused in getting the project complete.  Overall, very satisfied with Victor's team and would recommend his services to others.

Victor is a class act, and all the people working for him are as well.  He told me that they would do a great job, and was he ever right.  I am so glad that I used him.  My neighbor across the street used a different pavers company.  The difference is notable.  His installation is technically good, as near as I can tell.  However, it is not artistically done.  Mine is just beautiful.  I was afraid that pavers in such a large area might look either boring or too busy.  My patio looks like a work of art.  The same pavers were installed at my neighbor's house as at mine, but it is the arrangement that makes mine look so good.
Victor is very punctual and professional, as well as a very nice person.  The job was completed in one day, and everything is perfect.  Any concerns that I had, Victor responded to immediately.  He was very upfront about wanting good reviews on Angie's List, and he really does work that warrants them. I would definitely use his company again, and may do so when I am ready to replace my driveway.

Our experience with Belman Concrete, Landscape and Pavers was wonderful from beginning to end.  When we met with Victor, we knew we wanted to improve our backyard but not sure exactly what we wanted.  Victor gave us ideas, showed us pictures, we came up with a plan and signed the contract that evening.  They began the work on the day they said they would and completed it when they said it would be completed.  The workers were there every day at 8am and stayed until at least 5pm.  They were the hardest working group of guys we've ever seen.  They cleaned up after themselves everyday.  They were very polite and respectful.  They were all very experienced and did top-notch, quality work.  They exceeded our expectations by far. Victor was always available to take our calls or texts message with any questions/concerns/comments.  He was so easy to work with.  We have many more projects in the future and Belman concrete will definitely be doing them!





 

Belman did an excellent job.  They exceeded my expectation.  It was as total transformation.  Victor may seem a little eager to gain new projects but I can say from my personal experience that Victor and his crew do an excellent job.  Their recommendations all came out well.  I had four bids on my project and Belman had the best prices. They work very fast and efficient.  They completed my project in six working days.  After they had finished, there were a few small issues that I wanted corrected and they came back out to fix them with no issues.  I used to have a front yard that looked neglected and now I have a front yard that I can be proud of.  Neighbors and relatives have been complementing me on how great it looks.

It is beautiful. More than we hoped for. The installers were on time and knew their business.  They suggested changes to my original design that were dead on. As we are redoing our front yard to a water friendly design, we have had many neighbors stop by looking at the progress.  All have remarked at how the new pavers really stand out and complement the new front yard look. We would not hesitate to recommend for a project like ours.

Work has not been done yet.

I called quite a few contractors to get an estimate on a concrete driveway, only one actually responded and came out to the house to give an estimate - which seemed crazily high for concrete.  I saw Victor Belman's company on Angie's List and gave him a call.
Victor responded right away.  Victor was very enthusiastic, and asked if I was interested in using pavers.  I told him that I was, but I knew that the price for pavers would be more than concrete.  Victor said that he would come out and give me an estimate, and see if it would be in my price range.  He came out the following day, gave me a great price on the pavers (just a little more than the concrete estimate I got).  Needless to say, we signed A contract and he got started that day on the job.  The job took about 10 days to complete. Victor's work crew was amazing.  They were courteous, hardworking, detail oriented professionals.  Victor came out to the house on a daily basis to see how the work was progressing.  Victor was great communicating during the whole process.  Whenever I had questions or concerns how things were going, he would talk to the foreman, and make sure that my issues were met.  They did an amazing job, and transformed my front yard to a thing of beauty.  If you decide to use Belman Concrete Landscape and Pavers, you won't be disappointed.

Victor's crew was great! Everything went well, We did have a little communication barrier sometimes with the crew. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I took four years of French instead of Spanish! But Victor was always within reach by phone and we were able to get things taken care of. At the end of the job there were a few very minor issues that we wanted corrected and a crew was sent out the day after we sent the short list and everything was taken care of to our satisfaction. We are really happy with the suggestions that Victor made, including the wall rock around our existing balcony posts. It's my husband's favorite detail! All the neighbors are admiring our driveway! With our new design we're able to enjoy our entire yard now!  Thanks!!

They completed the job. We are happy with the result. We were not happy with the way the contract was written up. He would always tell me that they did not have the product to keep the odor out of the astro turf. That was what we wanted. They put lights in the back. Each light was $250, that included lights and installation. I would not use them again.

Victor Belman and his crews did an excellent job . He and his crews were very professional in performing the work. His workers knew their jobs very well and worked very hard to complete everything professionally and to our satisfaction. Not only was the work performed very professionally, Belman Concrete uses high quality materials in the process. Our neighbors came by frequently to admire the transformation underway. Many commented that it looked like a new house. Overall, we are glad we selected Belman Concrete for our project. He always appeared sincere in his desire to see that we were satisfied with his work. And we definitely were.

After having several companies come out to bid a patio area that my wife and I wanted to use pavers on, I hired Victor Belman from Belman Living. Victor was awesome from the start. He had some great ideas on how we should utilize the space that we had to work with and he came in at a very competitive price. His crew was very professional and was able to finish the pavers in one day. The patio turned out amazing and I plan on using Victor in the future for another paver project. Victor Belman had his crew created a beautiful front porch and walkway made of pavers.  The job included front posts, palm trees and lights.  It transformed the front of our house.  When the job was finished, I did not care for the look of one step.  Victor had a man come back, tear our the step and redo it to my satisfaction.  Victor guarantees your satisfaction.

Victor Belman came out to bid our job. He didn't come in as the highest or the lowest, but he answered all of my questions and had some great ideas as to how to redesign our landscape/hardscape. Our job was a challenge, no question, but all of the guys on the crew were professional, knowledgeable and super hard-working. It's hard for me to visualize an outcome without seeing it, but Victor and Ricardo were patient and described the vision to me. So, even though I am a control freak, I trusted them....
All I can say is, WOW! Our backyard looks like an elegant resort - the paver stones and retaining wall are very elegant, but still make it feel homey. There is a raised area in our backyard that I wasn't sure about beforehand - and it looks AMAZING. The transformation is truly unbelievable.
And the front yard, too, what a difference. As my husband likes to say, we used to have the home that needed the most help, and now we have the home that looks the nicest on the block! We are truly happy with how it turned out, and Ricardo, who was in charge of our job was the BEST!
We actually had an issue with a small part of the landscaping. I called up Victor and the crew is coming down next week. Now THAT is customer service! Yes, it's covered under the warranty period, but it's nice to know that even when the job is done, he is still there to make sure the job was done right!

The work actually consisted of 3 jobs.
The first job consisted of demolition of front walkway and patio, and installation of 2 inch pavers. This job far exceeded our expectations!
The quality of workmanship and materials was excellent. The attitude of the crew and Victor was excellent. And the job was finished FAST, as promised. When I was told 2 days, I said to myself yea, sure. But is was finished in 2 days and everything was cleaned up.
Every question was answered and every request was honored. This was an A+ job.
 We gave him a second job because of the great experience of the first job. Since his crew and equipment was already on the site, I felt I received an excellent quote and completion. The job was about 3 times as big as the first job and Victor brought in more guys to get the job done within the time promised. Again an A+ job.
I was hooked at this point and decided to give him a third job while his crew was still on the site. (I had not planned to do this work for a while).
 The third job got off on a bad start.  First the the crew started installing the wrong pavers for the job. This created delays. Then their tractor lost its engine and excavation without it was slow and did not have as finished a look as I wanted. There were several other delays. The electricity to the well was cut, and we were without water for a day. Then we had inclement weather for a couple of days which pushed us into the next week and I could not allow work that week due to a planned commitment. On the following week there were delays due to a Home and Garden show and other projects that they started on before finishing ours. Only a partial crew came on any given day and the continuity of the job suffered, but the work was finally finished. Overall the final work was very good. But the experience was far below that of the first two jobs.
For me the areas that could be improved upon were: 1. better communication, 2. The boss needed to spend more time at the job, and
3. follow up.  
Suggestion: Agree before hand on how many checks you will write and stick to it.  Withhold final payment until EVERYTHING is completed to your satisfaction.  (I would use them again).
