Im giving it one star because there is no other choice S & G was referred to me by Laura Winters a “designer” She explained the process, how they would make sure subfloor was in good condition Before they add some type of foam to ensure the floor is level. I had floor installed through the entire house In June 2022 Weeks later floor cracked and was lifting. The designer who referred me never responded to me after she was paid. And she probably continues giving referral to this awful place It took a lot of calls for someone to come out to look at the floor Craig from S and G stated “it’s out of their hands because it’s the subfloor” According to there warranty statement below We were suppose to be notified that repairs were needed prior to the installation being completed. Instead of stopping the job and notifying us (like stated in the warranty) They installed a floor that keeps cracking and lifting through out the entire house. It’s been six months of calls opening claims requesting they fix the floor and no response. I would not recommend S and G carpet To anyone and beware of the so called “designer” I lost out on a lot of money and can’t afford to have floors redone. S&G worst experience ever would not recommend them. S and G Does not honor there warranty it’s all false statements

I received quotes from two companies for installation of engineered hardwood floors. I selected S&G specifically because they told me that barring unforeseen complications after removal of the existing laminate flooring, they could complete the job in two days. I paid for furniture moving and was told that I should move all smaller items out of the work area (which I did) and the installation crew would move the remaining larger pieces of furniture around the rooms as they worked. Installation began on Thursday, July 16. The foreman arrived with three other men, none wearing masks. I reviewed the job with the foreman and left for the day. I returned late afternoon to view the progress and make arrangements for locking up. The foreman was no longer on site; only one worker was there. I discovered that several pieces of furniture (including an antique rolltop desk) had been moved outdoors to the patio, where they had been baking in full sun, presumably all day. I told the one remaining crew member I had been told the furniture would just be moved around the rooms. I covered the furniture with drop cloths and turned off the sprinklers, which would have doused the desk when they went off. I returned a few hours later after the crew had left. Some furniture had been moved back inside but the rolltop desk remained on the patio all night. On Friday, July 17, I arrived to let the workers in at 8:00; only one arrived by 8:00. He told me that the foreman would arrive around 9:00. When the foreman had not arrived by 9:00, the worker called him and then told me that the foreman had an “emergency” (which proved to be another job) and would not arrive until noon. I left. Around noon the foreman called to say he wasn’t coming at all, the work would not be finished that day, and the crew would return on Monday to complete the job. I called S&G and they arranged for the crew to come and finish the job on Saturday On Saturday, July 18, the job was “finished” by about 4:00. However, the new baseboards had not been cut to the proper size for the electrical outlets and so the outlet covers could not be put back on. The foreman told me I needed to buy smaller outlet covers. This is ridiculous, as outlet covers come in one standard size and his crew had just screwed up. On his way out the door, the foreman glued down a final transition piece between the hall and bathroom and weighted it down with paint cans from the garage. On Monday July 20 I called S&G about the outlet issue and also noted that glue had seeped out from the transition piece onto the floor and needed clean up. S&G sent someone to review the job on July 22 and on July 27 sent someone to recut the baseboards, replace the outlet covers, and clean up the glue. My 2-day job was finally completed after 11 days. When I made the down payment on the job, I informed S&G that I wanted the final payment (due on job completion) billed to a different credit card. I provided them with the card number for the final payment and they noted in my file that the final payment was to be billed to the second card. Despite this agreement, S&G billed the final payment to the initial card. I had to have them back out the charge and rebill it to the other card. To summarize the failures: the work was not completed timely; the work was not (initially) completed properly; the furniture was moved (and one piece left overnight) outside, contrary to what I had been told would happen; and they failed to follow the agreed upon billing arrangement. I would never recommend S&G.

It went very well. Installers arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled so we didn't have to wait for anyone.

Very well! Installers showed up on time and got started right away. They moved the furniture without a scratch. Removed the old carpet and hauled it away. Installed the new carpet in a timely manner. Cleaned up and vacuumed the new carpet and moved the furniture back again without a scratch. Job well done and the installers were easy to work with. I would defiantly recommend S&G Carpet and use them again. We used S&G Carpet when we first moved in back in 2007 after we had some water damage from a broken water line. Easy company to work with.

Everything was done as agreed. Timely, efficient, competent and affordable.
We have used S & G on numerous other occasions to install carpeting in our own home as well as in rental situations. They have always been fair and extremely dependable in our dealings with them. There may be other flooring contractors who are cheaper, but none more dependable or who stand behind their products and services better.

Landlord-seller left carpet remnants and warranty in the house upon sale. I have lived with this carpet for about one month. It is cheap renters' carpet, tan color, short filament. It has shed profusely to the point of clogging my vacuum, and the fibers are airborne once the carpet is walked on.
Installation was also poor. There are numerous places in all rooms (3 bedrooms, dining room, living room, and hallway) where the carpet crunches when walked upon. I am told that this is a padding issue. I am not pursuing these installation defects with the company because I am having this carpet ripped out and replaced with tile.

They showed up when they arrived on time. it took them a very short time to removed and set up the new carpet. the only complaint I would have of them would be that they did not have their own vacuum. So after they installed the carpet, it needed to be vacuumed, they need to use my vacuum. I did not have a problem with this, but you would think that a carpet company would have a decent vacuum for each installer.

Vinyl flooring was installed the latter part of 2010. Since then, a particular corner of a room had never been used. In August of 2014, a couple weeks after putting a desk and chair in that area, a patch ~4and quot; X 8and quot; was found to have not been glued down. A couple weeks later, because the chair used had wheels, that area had 'stretched' to beyond 8and quot; X 12and quot;.
The company was very responsive and came out to re-glue the area. Problems? The repairman was ten minutes late ... instead of showing up between 8:30 and 9:30 am, he showed up at 9:40 am. Why? Because the company failed to provide him with the correct address. There had also been previous problems with the company not putting my new phone number in their computer system. Fortunately they had given the repairman the correct phone number - he called me and was then given the correct address.
When the repairman left after glueing down the vinyl, I noticed that the area in question was not 'sticking' to the concrete - it was still 'wavy,' with some areas not in contact with the concrete below. Since I'm pretty tired of dealing with this company, I re-glued the vinyl. There are still issues of small areas not in contact with the concrete, but those areas are even smaller than when the repairman did his thing!
Since the vinyl is garbage (see previous review), and I will install something decent when I have the money in the future, I am content with the current situation. To prevent additional damage from the chair, I placed a 4' X 4' piece of peg board onto the vinyl area in question.

Install team was amazing! They worked quickly, professionally. They were on time. The floors are amazing! Can't say enough about them. I have recommended them to several other people who have gone on to have a similar experience. The sales team was okay. Follow through by them was not superior, but the install was what mattered most. Pricing was competitive. Quality outstanding.
