Our hardwood flooring was "shot out" and they brought it back to life in a major way! The floor was original from the 1940's and had never been cared for so their condition was pretty rough. Blue Valley totally made them new again and we couldnt be more pleased. It looks amazing.

The quality of the work was excellent. The work took 3 times as long as initally promised. We paid exactly what was initially quoted.
Having repairs done to stucco which cracked has not been finished. The company's commitment to ongoing warranty work has been terrible.

Someone was here everyday doing work for the 3 months the remodel lasted. However, we have problems with the hardwood firs which they came and looked at, recommended someone to call for help, which didn't work out, and never followed up. However, this was 6 yrs after installation.

It came out looking beautiful and the guys did a great job when they installed it, we didn't have any problems. I've got a moisture problem now, the floor has buckled, popped up by the front door. I called the owner. They didn't seal the concrete underneath it, which we never really talked about it.I found out later that it is probably a good thing to do, seal the concrete before putting the floor down. They put a moisture barrier down and then they put the floor, it's kind of a floating floor that sits on top of it. My opinion is that they should have recommended sealing it first, before. When I talked to the owner out there about the problem, she said, well you have a problem, you have a moisture problem. I wanted them to come out and asked if she would send someone and I've never heard from them again. I'm kinda disappointed.
Overall, I'd say even with the fact that the floor, they didn't respond to the end. They did a good job on the installation, that part was great, but the followup afterwards I was disappointed with.
The price was pretty close to what we were looking at, price wise, I think it was a pretty good price for the product.
I wouldn't use them again only because of the problem we have now that they didn't respond back on. If the product hadn't failed there by the front door, other than that, the floor is great. If they had followed up on the problem, called back with somebody to come out and look at it, then yeah, I would have used them again.

Blue Valley Remodeling is an excellent company! Ron is highly experienced, organized, skilled, and all around helpful. Ron guided us to make changes that didn't hamper with the budget but made sense. It was just the right time to fix some design flaws. Things we would have overlooked or just never thought of, he pointed out and made sure that everything was done right. Ron added really nice finishing touches like Crown Molding and Window Trims. Our Shower was completley reconfigured and now it's design will be practical in our Golden Years. Our favorite part of the Project is the Kitchen! We love our Granite Counters and beautifully designed cabinets, we hadn't realized how affordable these upgrades were.Ron kept us informed throughout. Blue Valley's employees and the Sub-Contractors they selected were all professionals that you felt comfortable having in your home.

Ramona (one of the owners), came to my house 2 weeks before the work was done, measured the square footage of the hardwood flooring to be refinished, and wrote up a detailed work order. The work order included sanding the floors to bare wood (removing the dark stain), trowel filling the gaps and providing 2 coats of Bona water based sealer. The cost was $4.00 a square foot (799 square feet = $3196). The work began on schedule and finished a day early. The owners came twice to check on the status of the work being done, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that the price was not lowered after the decision was made to omit a step from the process. The price had included trowel-filling the gaps in the floors, a step we later agreed to eliminate after the worker expressed concern that some of the gaps were too large to hold the filler material. I understood this and accepted this revision, but was never compensated for the elimination of this step and wish that I had said something as I now feel I overpaid.
Response from Blue Valley Remodeling, Inc.

"The standard pricing for Sand and Refinish work is $4.00 per Square Foot. "Filling" is included and is a step performed on the floor. In this case the plan was to also fill the bevels as well as the balance of the floor. It proved to not be the best long term solution as the bevels were too wide to "hold" the fill. We were concerned that parts of the fill would come loose. We all agreed not to fill the bevels would be best. Nothing extra was charged to perform this step, it was omitted, no discount was requested nor deemed appropriate."

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. IT DID NOT TAKE THEM VERY LONG TO GET THE JOB DONE. THEY HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FLOORING TO CHOOSE FROM.
