The project was on time and finished in one year. We are very happy with our house and the building process went smoothly. There were some challenges along the way, but Don's attitude was always to solve the problem to our satisfaction. One example would be when the architect's design called for two 6'8" French doors that turned out to have openings of 6'4" - too small for my husband to walk through without bumping his head. Don removed both doors and made it possible to install the larger doors that allowed for a 6'8" opening. Another example would be the last minute changes we wanted in the master bathroom. We asked Don to raise the tub and widen the shower. Both of these examples he did without charging extra. There were a few times we requested changes where there was a cost, but he was very upfront about the extra cost, and it wasn't unreasonable. Don was also helpful with decisions about interior choices. I was being overwhelmed by tile choices and was having a hard time staying within the budget for tile. Don found a great tile for the bottom floor after looking on his own. He also suggested a more complicated tile pattern for the showers that works really well. His input on the choice of rock for the fireplace was also much appreciated. Don was a pleasure to work with and his input helped make our house an attractive and efficient place to live. I would highly recommend him as a contractor to anyone who is building a home or doing remodeling. His prices are great and the work is high quality. He is completely trustworthy and finishes on time.
