Original estimate for $2300. Cost an additional $50 to seal two exposed rebar in the floor. The estimate was given prior to the contractor seeing the actual floor. The process took an additional day as sealing the rebar required a special epoxy. The whole process took 6 days as the contractor could only apply one coat per day.The contractor recommends allowing 3 days after the final coat before parking a vehicle in the garage. This means the garage is not available for normal use for more than a week. The best time to do this work is when the house is vacant. The contractor provided a sheet detailing the whole process and spent ample time discussing the available color schemes. The new floor looks great.
