Mike Ganung has been very good at providing customer service and fixing the minor problems that have come up. This solar energy collection system has totally eliminated my cost of electricity out of pocket. I have stayed connected to the grid with STGE but could go off the grid and generate all my power. Adding battery storage is necessary to achieve this off grid system.The monitor system was approximately $2,000 and not needed in new systems with STG&E. Costs of solar panels have dropped and will continue to drop as solar becomes more popular.
This equivalent system could be installed today on my 1600 sq ft home for about $13,000. It would pay back in about 6 years by the savings in electricity. There may be some Solar Energy discounts from the federal government similar to what we got on this system which should be considered.
