I previously used this business for another vehicle and when my pick-up truck came due for a smog check I came by (without an appointment) to get the truck tested. There is a recycling center in the same parking lot, so I brought my recycling to make more efficient use of the trip. The smog check was processing another vehicle, but as soon as it was complete, I was the next one in and the test was completed shortly thereafter. The office assistant was very friendly.

I had a great experience at Poway Test Only. Rick's staff provided outstanding customer service while performing my smog check in a very timely manner. They were friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful. I will be taking all of my vehicles to Poway Test Only whenver I need a smog check in the future.

A good thing about this location is that they take appointments, previous stations that I had used did not. I was unaware of this when I arrived. Leland Tozier was very accommodating to my busy schedule and even though no appointments were available that day, he agreed to perform the check after his last appointment at 5:30. I returned a little early and he was available and performed the check. His price was also less than I had paid before.

Rick is the owner/operator. He was courteous on my initial call for information and job estimate. He was ready for my car when I arrived, went straight to work and finished in about twenty minutes. Prior to making the appointment, I had done an internet/Angie/BBB survey on his company along with four others. Finding a couple negative reports on some, I went to this company for my work. I'll go to Poway Test Only again when the next check is required. Additionally, it turned out that PTO was the lowest price among the five I surveyed. Best to do a Google Map check to get the location. PTO is tucked back in a little corner of another building.
