We actually got their name from FanDiego. They were fantastic. They were prompt to our first appointment and I flaked. I was so embarrassed and he was so great about it! We rescheduled within 5 days and he came today. He installed five ceiling fans for the price he quoted me. The fans are fantastic and quiet (Emerson). He was polite and clean, too. I would recommend and use Padre electric in the future.

We were given Padre Electric as a suggestion for installing ceiling fans
in mobile homes from Fan Diego. We asked them to replace one ceiling
fan and put two new ones in rooms that had no fan or light fixture in
the ceiling. In an older mobile home like we have, putting new ceiling
fixtures can be tricky because of the way the ceiling is constructed and
because there is no crawl space. John did a great job, showing up on
time, being neat about his work and doing a very professional
installation. We liked his work so much that we had him back to install
GRI outlets and put in a new separate circuit for our master bathroom.
A month later we had him install recessed LED lights in our newly
remodeled kitchen. Each time the work was done on time and within the
budget of the quote.

They are capable of doing good work, but they get sloppy on repeat visits.

I chose Padre Electric based Angie’ List and also based on a recommendation from FanDiego where I purchased the ceiling fan. John was prompt, courteous, experienced, and professional. He provided a price-range quote over the phone and completed the work on the day scheduled. The work included installing and wiring electrical boxes in the ceilings and assembling and installing the fan and lamp. He came prepared with all the parts he might possibly need for the job. He didn’t mind that I asked numerous questions during installation. The cost for the ceiling fan installation was at the high end of the quote and the cost for the ceiling light installation was below the low end of his quote for reasons he explained when he presented the bill. The ceiling fan works great, is essentially silent (no motor noise), and doesn’t wobble at all, even though it has a downrod—we’ve been using it nightly it for a week now. The ceiling light works fine. It helped that previous to installation I had checked all the components in the fan and light kits as I was able to get a needed replacement downrod before the day of installation.

We had scheduled an afternoon appointment and apparently his morning appointment had cancelled so he wanted to come earlier but I was unavailable until noon. The installation was top rate HOWEVER he did not clean up and there were bits of wire left all over and all the boxes were left for us to deal with. My sense is he was irritated and rushed. In retrospect I wish I had used an electrician who would have patched with drywall because it now looks like I have cheap little plastic plates between the expensive fan and the ceiling. I had two additional fans to install and I called John for a price quote on those since they involved some more complicated wiring and I knew the price would be higher. Since he didn't clean up my spouse didn't even want me to call him. It took him a week to return my call. Given the lack of cleanup and lack of timely response, I decided to find a different electrician.

It went excellent. They were referred to me by the store where I bought the fan. He was professional. He came about 20 minutes late but did good work. He had a lot of experience installing fans.

I had another electrican from a large company come out earlier. He spent over two hours searching for the problem and trying to sell me upgraded switches and circuit boards. He never found the problem, and never even looked at the switch that caused the problem. John, from Padre Electric, came out and very efficiently found the cause of the problem and fixed it. He is now on my permanent call back/recommended list.

Prompt on day of installation. Took over a week of back and forth messages to schedule the appointment.

John said he would be at the house between 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. He and his helper actually arrived about 11:30 which was great because I had taken off work to be home when he was there. He and his helper were very polite, went right to work and completed the job in good time. I had called three other electricians to get an estimate - one never returned my call, the other two were a lot higher than John - one was double in price. His work is top quality and I would highly recommend him.

THE FIRST ELECTRICIAN INSTALLED THE FAN BUT IT WAS MAKING A RATTLING SOUND SO WE HIRED THIS COMPANY TO REINSTALL IT AND FIX THE RATTLING. WE THINK THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE AND HE DID A GOOD JOB.

IT WAS A VERY COMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. IT IS A ONE MAN SHOP WITH ONE OR TWO HELPERS DEPENDING ON THE SCOPE OF THE JOB. HE HAS INSTALLED OTHER CEILING FANS FOR US. IN ADDITION HE INSTALLED EIGHT CEILING SPOTS WITH DIMMER SWITCHES IN OUR FAMILY ROOM AND RAN SPEAKER WIRE FROM OUR ENTERTAINMENT CENTER TO OUTSIDE SPEAKERS. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE EXACT COST OF THAT WORK, BUT I THINK IT WAS AROUND $1000. HE WORKS VERY EFFICIENTLY AND QUICKLY.
