Oakley Relocation- North American Van Lines

Alright. When they did move everything from the storage. It seem that the people that were hire. they were local and not professional. You just don't the people you get from Point A to point B. They lose my brass headboard. You just don't what you get. They quality of the job. Just did not have too much confident with them.

Didn’t use them- whole process felt like a price bait & switch

Perfect move, timing worked out perfectly and everything was delivered intact and without any damage. Would highly recommend them.

Haven't opened all boxes yet, but no breakage thus far and all fragile items of furniture arrived in great shape!!

Traci McCormick did a great job working with me pre-move to arrange everything.  She then kept me informed as the moving date approached.  Crew arrived punctually and did a great job wrapping everything as well as handling the organ.  The movers arrived and off-loaded everything and removed all trash and debris.  I have moved extensively throughout my career in the Army and this was one of the most pleasant moves I have experienced.  Oh, Traci kept me informed throughout the transit of the items across country.  True professional.

We elected to move with Oakley Relocation / North American Van Lines as a result of the promise of their representative, Ashley Dunlop, that he would provide personal service and "be with us every step of the way."   Nothing could have been farther from the truth.  Once we signed the contract he was nowhere to be found.  He returned one of my phone calls when I pleaded in desperation that the crew had shown up without sufficient packing mateirls and had laid waste to our possessions.  Ashley did a survey of our home prior to our signing the contract and saw that we had numerous pieces of ceramic art.  He said that this art would be specially packed to assure safety.  The crew had no special packing materials and appeared to have cared less about our art.  We finally asked a friend to do the packing with whatever help he could get from the packing crew.  He correctly labeled the art "Fragile - Do Not Stack" but the van driver said that this would be impossible unless we rented the entire truck (Our possessions occupied about 2/3 of the truck and thus Oakley was also loading another party on the truck.)  The packing crew said that they would get a price to put our art in crates but that quote never arrived and the art was packed in cardboard boxes.   In another instance, my dress clothes were taken off hangers and jammed into dresser drawers.  Other clothes were in wardrobe boxes that we saw weren't properly sealed to keep out dirt.  We went looking for the crew who were about to leave and made them come back to properly seal the boxes.  The packing crew didn't finish packing as they had to go to another job.  Said that the truck crew would do the packing.  Truck crew showed up late and were as exhausted as the packing crew.  Oakley literally works their crews to death.  Upon arrival in New Mexico we found things were damaged and missing.  We called Oakley and they said that they would have the driver call the other party who shared the truck with us to see if they had our things.  We heard nothing more.  We sent a full damage report ot Oakley who forwarded it to North American.  Two men showed up at our home to assess the damage but they didn't have any of the report information that we had filed.  They took some pictures and left.  North American denied many of our claims and, as a result of our deductible, we received no compensation.   We tried to communicate with Ashley Dunlop and got no response so wrote to Wes Lucas, President of North American Van Lines, and submitted complete documentation of the move.  Got a response from his administrative assistant which stated that they agreed with the way that Oakley had handled our move but would look into my assertions that Oakley was overworking their crews.  No apology and certainly no offer of any type of refund.   We were abused and ignored by Oakley Relocation and North American Van Lines.  They simply don't care.
