THE BID ON THIS CONTRACT CAME IN SECOND TO LOWEST (RANGE WAS BETWEEN 45K AND 199K !). BEFORE SIGNING ANY CONTRACT, MR. CHIN, THE OWNER, AGREED TO LET US SEE SOME OTHER PROJECTS IN PROGRESS, AND MY HUSBAND, WHO HAS EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION, WAS VERY IMPRESSED. MR CHIN RETURNED ALL CALLS PROMPTLY, WAS AT THE SITE EVERY DAY, AND DID MUCH OF THE WORK HIMSELF. HE HAS A CREW OF HARDWORKING AND TALENTED CARPENTERS WORKING FOR HIM, AND THEY WERE ALWAYS ON THE SITE EARLY AND READY TO GO (MY CHILDREN LOVED THEM!) THE SITE WAS KEPT CLEAN AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS PROJECT, WHICH WAS INITIALLY TO TAKE THREE MONTHS, HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN JUST OVER THAT. SINCE THIS IS AN INDUSTRY RIFE WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHODDY WORKMANSHIP AND SLOW PROGRESS, TO HAVE FOUND A COMPANY THAT IS EFFICIENT, STICKS TO SCHEDULES, AND DOES EXCELLENT WORK IS SUCH A TREMENDOUS FIND. WE WILL HAVE HIM BACK IN A COUPLE OF YEARS TO COMPLETE ANOTHER, SMALLER JOB.
