Out of 9 moves over the past 30 years, this mover provided the worst experience. They showed up late with U-Haul trucks, did a poor job loading and damaged multiple pieces of furniture. We filed a claim which was approved by the claim company, but Gemini wouldn't make the payment or return our calls. Finally, they closed our claim do to lack of interest on our part. I recommend finding another mover---Gemini is not to be trusted.

The movers didn't listen very well. They caused damage to the stairwell. When they finally moved the bed the way I told them to, it went in smoothly. They banged my belongings. They scratched the floors and damaged the walls after I just had them refinished and repainted. Due to the amount of the damages, currently I am out $1330 (60% of the claim value) which should be covered to fix the problems. I went to the management of the company, they said they'd pay 40% of the costs. To this day, I have yet to see a dime. I purchased full value protection for $328 so that if anything was lost or damaged they would cover it. I have yet to see anything from it.
UPDATE: On 4/20/2012, I received a check for 40% of the 1/30/2012 claim value (hardly a "majority" of the claim value) stating that this was a "full settlement" and, consequently, I will not cash the check as I informed Angie's List. This 4/2012 check was disbursed ONLY AFTER I submitted a complaint to Angie's List on 3/30/2012. The legal advice that I have received is that I am entitled to 100% of the claim value which I am sure is no surprise to the moving company. The issue has now been sent onto the BBB for resolution due to the stalemate status.

"Customers claim was processed in a timely manner and by PUC regulations. The majority of the customers claim was found in her favor and payment has been made. Some of her dismay is the portion of her claim that was determined not to be our legal responsibility. Customer was advised that a bed would not fit safely through the stairwell. She refused our advice and insisted the item be placed upstairs. It finally did get upstairs but caused dings to the stairwell walls and bed. We found this portion of her claim to not be our liability, as she was advised that her request would result in damage."

Their service was phenomenal. It was a corporate move, so the corporation took care of the price. They did a really good job. They were also responsive and punctual.

The movers showed up on time with a large truck. The three guys were courteous and friendly. They took the time to protect all of our furniture with shrinkwrap and padding but were still finished moving our 3-bedroom household within 6 hours! I will definitely call these guys the next time I move.
