Electrician only checked panels, Did not check outlet voltage or sdge box. Reported no problems. During his 3 hours at the house he spent at least half of that on the phone seeking advice from the owner. Sdge was out two days latter and in 5 minutes found outlet voltage ranging between 112V and 128V. They immediately checked the meter box and found both the negative and the neutral lose. By tightening the problems disappeared immediately. I requested a refund from the Certifies owner and he refused.

This last experience was the best, Bob did an excellent job. He alone finally figured out what no one else diagnosed from Certified. He called SDGE, had them test the line and stayed through the whole process. While not happy with prior workman, Certified has somewhat redeemed themselves in my eyes thanks to Bob and his profession ism and talents.

The technician Bob was great. He knew his stuff. He was on time, very business like and had excellent diagnostic skills. He check everything after he asked me multple questions and talked me through the process. He checked the main panel, sub panel and wiring. He re-inspected the new fuse panel installed 3 years ago that Certified Electric and all related new wiring. Bob was everything that I needed and wanted to solve the electrical problem. When he uncovered the problem, the house was fixed instantly. He stress tested everything and rechecked everything he did. The rub was I felt the problem was diredtly related to the quality of the work from a previous Certified Electric employee, bad connections, bad commons in the wiring he put in 3 years ago. When the new guy rewired one piece the house was fixed. The owner of the company said the other guy had done the work correctly, nothing wrong. I know it had been some time since the repair, but at the time of the new fuse panel installed 3 years ago, that elcectrician was called back the next day for the same problem I just had fixed, Certified Elec can check the records. The electirian from 3 years ago told me the house needed new wiring, he never checked his work when he was called back out for this problem. I've limped along with this circut problem since, it finally came to head. I feel the previous employee (from 3 years ago) was substandard. He had me write him a second check to him in addition to the check to Certified Electric, I have the old checks. The guy from 3 years ago also brough his son as training during the repair, probably where the problem occured.

Brian, the tech, was on time, courteous, and helpful. He did need to go to a nearby hardware store to get the necessary replacement parts vs. having them in his pick-up truck--that caused an unnecessary time delay in my opinion. He also needed to further adjust the new water-proof GFI outlet box he just installed "after" I inspected it (before he left) and saw a gap that the water from my nearby sprinkerhead could seep into the box. I wish he would have caught that the first time without my inspection. The job got done, but was pricey for the time, labor, & parts required.

THEIR SR. TECHNICIAN, BRIAN, DID A GREAT JOB WITH HIS TWO MAN CREW. THEY DID A SATISFACTORY JOB, BUT WORKED A BIT SLOW WHILE ON THE JOB (E.G., TOO MANY BREAKS). ONLY BIG COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY DID NOT INCLUDE STUCCO OR DRYWALL REPAIR PEOPLE IN THEIR BID AND I HAD TO SCRAMBLE TO GET MY OWN VENDORS -- STUCCO FOR FUSE BOX TO PASS CITY INSPECTION AND DRYWALL TO PATCH CEILING LIGHT HOLES FOR NEW CEILING FANS. OVERALL, I'D HIRE THEM AGAIN, THOUGH, FOR FUTURE HOME ELECTRICAL PROJECTS.
