After being alerted that someone impersonating an Intuit technician may have remotely hacked into my computer and embedded everything from spyware to a keystroke logger, my husband called Ken Cook, owner of Tri-Valley PC Medic. In past years, Ken had solved computer problems -- for both business and personal computers -- for my husband. Ken scheduled an appointment and arrived at our home a few minutes early. He spent the time that was necessary for him to check for viruses, malware, keystroke logging. He removed all the bad players and then installed protections. He then ran all the checks again with the newly installed applications. Ken was both thorough and patient. He answered my myriad questions and helped us examine our two other laptops that we thought may also have been infected. The icing: Ken gave us tips on how to create passwords, which he said we should change every quarter for email and banks.
Description of Work: Ken Cook examined multiple laptops for possible infections and malware, removed detected items and installed anti-virus and anti-malware applications.
