Andrew cheerfully replaced both springs in my garage door, explaining the process step-by-step. One of the springs had broken so I replaced them both. He also lubricated all moving parts of the door. The shop had given me an estimate for the work over the phone, which is what I was charged. The whole process took about 1 hour.

Excellent. Responded right away and set up an appointment for the following week. Andrew arrived promptly, installed the new opener, did maintenance on the garage door and explained the workings of the new opener. Was quick, efficient and courteous.

Recently my neighbor had Door Doctor out to fix his garage door. I asked if the repairman could give me a quote for a tune-up on my door before he left. To my surprise, the repairman came over, lubricated, and adjusted my door free of charge. I don't think you can get better customer service than that.

The garage door wasn't working, due to torsion spring break. I called the Door Doctor at 9AM, got an appointment for same day. The door mechanic was professional and polite, and completed the work quickly to my satisfaction.

Last November, my garage door came off the track and collapsed in a heap. I thought for sure I would need to replace it. Justin from The Door Doctor came out the next day and told me I would NOT need a new door and that he could take care of it. Amazingly, he fixed it so well one can hardly tell it was ever damaged. Moreover, it runs smoother and quieter than ever! Different Door Doctor technicians had to come back several weeks later to replace the one of the windows that shattered because the type of door I have is out of production.

Friday morning at approx. 9:15 AM Called the office to report a problem with my garage door stopped opening. Nice lady who answered the phone tried to troubleshoot the situation with me. She suggested that we book the appointment. She indicated that a technician would be available that afternoon at approx. 2:00 PM
Approx. 2: 10 PM Technician drove up in a clearly marked truck wearing the Door Doctor uniform.  After discussing the problem the technician braced me for the probability that the unit was shot and may need to be replaced altogether. He then went on to inspect the device and found that it was a faulty capacitor. The technician replaced it with a new one from his truck inventory and then went on to tune up the door and opening system. Lubricated moving parts. Adjusted the alignment of the door. Retested the operation. All within about 1/2 hour tops. A potential $500+ replacement turned out to be a $20 part + service fee.

The Door Doctor tech left my house in Pleasanton and I felt compelled to write this review immediately. He finished replacing both garage door springs, lubricated and greased the chain for $260. The door runs and sounds smoother than ever. My appointment was for 10am with a 1 hour estimate. He arrived early at 9:25am, worked fast and efficiently and was driving away at 9:40am! I could not ask for anything better and I'm critical. I highly recommended the Door Doctor for any of your garage door needs...

This company has tuned up the garage door several times as it is pretty creaky (bad door). It has also installed a new garage door opener in the past as well.
This time the spring on the garage door broke making it almost impossible to move the door. My husband set up the appointment, they were there on time. Fixed it and it was done. Very helpful and professional.

Selecting the doors and hardware was made easy by the very helpful Debbie Cyr. She took my general direction and showed me several options and their respective pricing. At the same time Debbie also helped us select locks and hardware for both doors. She was responsive to the design style I wanted and was very practical. She really taught us a lot about our choices. We never felt like we were oversold.
We did price the same door and hardware at a local big box store and, with labor charges, the total cost would have been a little less--but, we knew we wouldn't get the same help in selecting the right door nor would we get the same painting and installation quality.
The installation crew arrived on time with the doors prepainted and ready to install. Two guys worked on the front door and one worked on the install of the side garage door. The side door was installed within a few hours and worked like a dream. The front door took about five hours to install the door and the hardware. The team was very meticulous about fine details and the end result was a beautiful door that looks and works like a million bucks.
About a week later we did have problems with the side door not closing correctly. I called Debbie and she had one of our front door install guys out to make the repair within a day or so. It's been several months and the door is still working great.
This was the way home repair purchases should be done...high quality materials, attention to quality and detail by helpful folks who worked on our home using the same quality they would use on their own home. It was an excellent purchase and experience all the way around.

The Door Doctor in Pleasanton gets our highest rating. Joey answered our questions and she knew right where to look for the items we wanted. Mike's measurements were accurate, resulting in the installation fitting perfectly. The Door Doctor's painter left an excellent, smooth finish. The installers, Dennis and Rod, were on time, courteous, careful, efficient, and highly skilled. The lock parts were aligned properly, and the door works very smoothly. They used protective covering for our entry tile and carpeting. They cleaned up during and after the job. We are very pleased and love our new door.

Spring on the garage door broke, stranding car in garage. They came out the next day and did what they said they would, at a good price. Replaced the spring, suggested the new bearings. I'd done some surfing, knew he offered a good price, so said yes. No pressure, real happy w/ the results.
