DeBernardi Development Construction and Remodeling

This is a composite review for work done by Jeff DeBernardi and his crew over a long timespan of 20+ years.  I have hired them for work on two different homes, including:  kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel including new tile floors, wiring installations and electrical fixtures and repairs, roof structural repairs, installation of new windows, installation kitchen cabinetry and granite countertops, removal of interior walls, running new electrical and water lines to the shed in my backyard, and more.  The most recent flurry of jobs were in connection with our move to an existing home in Pleasant Hill and many upgrades to it.  Jeff and his team have very creative ideas and are completely honest about the pros and cons, and costs, of different solutions. I have had Jeff recommend against something when it's cost prohibitive and offer a less expensive solution, or provide a referral to another trusted contractor when I needed HVAC work done.  They ALWAYS show up when they say they will, and do what they promise!  DeBernardi employees are unfailingly reliable, polite, and trustworthy, and I have never been disappointed with the results even once ... and I don't think I can say that about any other business I've ever used!  I recommend them frequently to anyone who is looking for either small or large home projects.

We have called Jeff twice in the last year to remove inside wooden shutters from our windows. He is prompt and intelligent, and
sent his employee to do the work promptly. 
He removed the shutters, then precision-cut wood to make framing around the window  and a window sill, and installed it and painted it. It was all done each time within a few hours. 
Now our rooms look open and bigger. We are thrilled and have recommended him to several of our friends.

We've used DeBernardi's services a lot in the last 5 months because we moved from San Ramon to Pleasant Hill and needed work done on both the old and the new homes.  Jeff DeBernardi and his crew are absolutely top-notch in every category:  responsiveness, timeliness, being honest and upfront about design and cost options, and most of all quality work they stand behind.  We were thrilled with the results on every single project, and are planning to have more work done soon.  The greatest thing is that once you have a relationship with Jeff and his team, you never have to worry about getting "taken" again on home related projects!
