Custom Exchange did new construction installation of 8 windows and a sliding glass door. By new construction I mean they had to cut down the window openings to meet current egress standards and install larger windows. This involves exterior stucco work and installing some new framing for the windows. The also provided window casing and sills to finish out the interior. They did a really nice job. They were quick, prompt and cleaned up well after they were done. I would definitely recommend them.

I just purchased a 100yr old victorian home in downtown san jose and had more than 20 windows which were HUGE and none were of standard size by today's standard. Many were on verge of falling out or painted shut over the years. I called EVERY local and many non-local window dealers/installers/contractors to get bid. Most were double the price. Tried one of the bigger discount dealers who offered Simonton dual-pane windows. Did extensive search for Simonton and it appeared pretty good (just as bad as Milgard and other more expensive) but not as bad as the cheap no-name brands). Called for bid, but sales person was not too good. Then tried Michal at Custom Exchange who came in (owner) and did bid quickly and did not try to sell additional services or upgrades. I called a few more places and could not beat the price so had him do job. Within 3 weeks received call that windows were in. We set a date to work around other construction work going on and he had his installer install more than 20 windows in less than two days. The installer did very good detail work, clean up everything, and sealed, caulked and trimmed every window, even the huge windows very high on 2nd floor. I highly recommend these guys! BTW - THis went into a completely rennovated victorian intended for rental so it was important that windows were good quality. These had both aragon gas and dual pane and the lock and slider mechanisms were very smooth and positive, unlike other cheaper windows I've used in past that done close perfectly or lock securely.
