We have flooding on the side of the house during heavy rains, and have a trash pump in a buried canister to handle the overflow. Problem is that it pumps through a drainage pipe which is broken under the front lawn, and so water comes up and back into the "pond."  I handled this with another pump to push the water down the hill.  This, of course, was a short term solution.  So, after having the gutters cleaned out, I went looking for someone to handle my drainage problem. 
Found CLA Construction on Angie's List.  They had no current reviews, but appeared to be close by and felt "right."   I sent a message through Angie's to the company and owner Chris Anthony called the next day. He arranged to come out to survey the situation, provided an email estimate which seemed fair so I said "go ahead." 
Chris and his helper came out as arranged, cleared out all the drainage pipes, breaking through root balls or whatever.  They installed new caps on the drain inlets, and dug down deep, below the sprinkler pipes, to get to the broken drainage pipe under the lawn.  Although their equipment appeared well used to this observer, they had everything needed for the job, including a snake camera set up.  
No fuss, no surprises, job well done although we'll have to wait until the rains come to see that everything works.
CLA does general contractor work too so Chris will be on my list for the next project -- dry rot that another contractor offered to "cover over" but which I think needs to be cleaned out with damaged parts replaced.  But what do I know?
So, I can give CLA Construction a very positive rating.

Took about 3 days. The guys worked incredibly hard in very challenging conditions, digging in cold wet mud and 3-4 inches of water. They hand excavated a hole for the sump pump several feet deep, working in a tiny crawl space. They hand carried buckets of mud up from the crawl space and out of the house to a dumpster, always being very careful to keep things clean. They cleaned up at the end of every day, and used sheets of plastic to contain the mess. They excavated and installed several drainage lines leading to the sump pump across most of the underside of the house. No more damp earth smell in the house after winter rains. Great Job!l

WHEN WE TRIED TO DECIDE WHAT COMPANY TO GO WITH, CUSTOM DECKING WAS THE ONE THAT STUCK OUT FOR MANY REASONS. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, SHOWED US WAYS TO IMPROVE ON THE PLANS WE HAD. WE WERE SO HAPPY WITH THE WAY THE DECK TURNED OUT. THEY DID SUCH A GREAT JOB. WE COULD NEVER SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR WORK.

THEY RETURNED MY CALLS & ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE DECK WE WANTED BUILT. THEY TOLD US OUR PLAN WOULD NEED SOME MODIFICATIONS, BUT THAT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA. THEY TRIED TO STAY AS CLOSE TO OUR PLANS AS THEY COULD. WE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE WAY IT TURNED OUT. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL.
