My HVAC system was very old as was the associated ducting. Both were replaced as well as an old water heater. Gilmore helped me select new systems that are reliable, suitable to my home and energy efficient. They patiently answered my myriad of questions and provided pictures of my currents equipments many issues. All the technicians worked quickly and kept me apprised of the progress and of any issues encountered. They took pride in their work. All my contacts at Gilmore were very positive, friendly and professional. I have already scheduled a plumbing project and look forward to working with them again. I am happy to recommend them to others.

This is my fourth encounter with this top notch company (e.g., heating, AC, Solar assessment, and now revamp of our HVAC) and we couldn’t be more pleased. Our latest work was completed approximately a month ago and required extensive HVAC modifications combined with an AC repair. Joe, Arguably Gilmore’s best Senior Tech, diagnosed our system impediments and gave us options to remedy our system’s design flaws. We just stressed tested our AC and HVAC system over the past month’s heat wave and have never been more comfortable with the even distribution of air circulation and AC reliability. We have shared our positive experiences with neighbors and even purchased an annual Heat and AC Tune up Club Membership for an elderly relative, to provide them peace of mind. Excellent inspection! Our service technician arrived on time and knew how to quickly find and diagnose the problems with our unit, even with many complicated parts. He provided detailed photographs to document what he found and offered a variety of solutions to repair or replace our HVAC unit - even if we chose to hire a different contractor. Based on our technician's professionalism and great customer service attitude, I would highly recommend Gilmore for any of your heating or air conditioning needs.

I am glad with the services of Humberto in doing the maintenance job. The overall rating I would give is excellent service with his punctuality, professionalism (explaining every step of the work he did with comparison on the optimal functioning of the systems and the items that need to be addressed), consumer-friendly, very positive work ethics, sincere positive attitude on the company he works for and the co-workers), and making the customer feel confident and comfortable with the optimal functioning of the systems. It took about four and a half hours. Seemed to go smooth. Allen has been here before and has always been very professional. He always explains what needs to be done and why it needs to be done. When he is finished with his work he explains what he did and what we should expect from our HVAC system. He also makes suggestions on how to keep the unit working properly to avoid future problems. Really a good guy!

It went great. Humberto was courteous, professional and efficient. We also purchased a supply of air filters for our heating/cooling system. Humberto also inspected our hot water heaters. We purchased a supply of air filters that will be shipped in a few days.

My past experience with Mr. Suetos, has always been outstanding! Not only did he do an outstanding job during the tuneups, he also educates me about the unit regarding it's performance. I typically ask for Mr. Suetos to perform my periodic A/C tuneup needs. Not only is he a great technician, he is also very personal and easy to talk to. You are lucky to have him on your staff.

Allen checked out the system and took readings on all phases of the heating unit. He explained how the AC system and how the heating system worked. Even drew it out on a pad of paper so I could understand how both systems worked. Also took the time to call the manufacture to see if the condenser was under warranty should it turn out to be the problem. He explained what the next steps were and gave me prices charging the system, adding dye and checking for leaks. He also gave me a price if the condenser needed to be replaced. I was very impressed.

Carl was very professional and thorough. Everything is in great working order and we couldn't be happier with both the heating and cooling of our house and how efficient it runs since Gilmore installed our new system. They also installed our water on demand Rinnai system which is fantastic!!! Since using Gilmore we have felt confident that our heating and cooling is in good hands. We don't feel like they try to sell us on things that we don't need.

Allen Suetos of Gilmore arrived within one minute of the scheduled appointment time for a routine semiannual HVAC tuneup. Consistent with Gilmore service people in the past, he was friendly and professional, and came with a well equipped van. Allen was especially conscientious, thorough, meticulous and very technically knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing and showed me the findings as he went through the service procedure. I was especially impressed when he caught an intermittent system shutdown problem that might have been missed by a less thorough and rushed technician, and traced the cause to a failing overheating protection sensor. The techician Allen S was prompt and courteous. He gave a thorough explanation of how our aging heating and air unit was performing and diligently diagnosed the fault that was causing our heating to fail. A replacement part was ordered and installed just a few days later to resolve the problem. The day before the visits we were provided with confirmation by phone from the office staff that Allen would be arriving at the arranged times. All in all a satisfactory outcome. Thank you Allen for your good work.

The Gilmore technician showed up promptly, was clean and courteous. I explained what was happening and ventured that the refrigerant had leaked as the HVAC system was 20 years old. He went up into the attic where the unit was located and bumped and thumped for around an hour or so, then came down and said my heat exchanger needed to be replaced due to cracks, which he showed me pictures of on his phone. Then, he proceeded to check the refrigerant levels at the condenser and found that the unit was two pounds low. Capacity is 9.5 pounds on the 4 ton Goodman unit I had. He replaced the two pounds at a cost of $125 a pound because the refrigerant is no longer legal to produce in CA. He did not say the coil was leaking in the attic or anything related to the issue. He then continued to push that I get the heat exchanger replaced. I told him I would think about it as it was just becoming hot and I wouldn't use the heater for quite awhile. Jump forward five months, I figured to replace the heat exchanger because winter is coming and called Gilmore to do the job. I found out that the cost to replace the heat exchanger in 20 year old equipment would be almost enough to buy a new, more efficient unit, not just the exchanger. So, I put out an RFQ for a complete HVAC R&R for the 20 year old Goodman equipment. Gilmore was first to respond, again. I took their estimate along with two others and selected someone else to do the work as Gilmore was only going to use the equipment they wanted to use, which is Rheem/Ruud equipment. I wanted Carrier. Well, it turns out that the the company that won the bid and R&R the old equipment had time to inspect the old heat exchanger with me after it was removed. Not only were there no cracks in it, it wasn't even the same heat exchanger type as shown to me by the AC technician on his phone. In addition, it would have been impossible for the tech to take apart the equipment in the first place to take the pictures he showed me. The other problem was I had a 4 ton AC coil and condenser and coil and a 3 ton heater with blower. This is insufficient to keep the coil from freezing and becoming brittle thus springing small leaks. An apples and oranges system. None of this was ever mentioned by Gilmore's tech and Chris, the guy that came out to do the HVAC system R&R bid. All in all, Gillmore's veracity is highly suspect when it comes to their service people. What they want to do is sell systems and install them for the big bucks that come with it. Buyer beware. I would never use Gilmore for anything ever again.

Pretty good, a misdiagnosed problem arose upon completion of installation, but Gilmore sent out a subsequent tech and the problem was found a fixed.It would have been better had the problem (a simple polarity problem) been diagnosed at time of installation, but it was with the furnace side of the system so it was not that time sensitive, but it did push everything (completion and inspection dates) back. But I have used Gilmore on all three of my HVAC systems and the have always been responsive and easy to work with, so I'll stick with them for my heating and air conditioning needs. One last note, as I get older, it's harder and harder to keep up with the price of these big ticket items, but Gilmore has always been up front and helpful in picking the best and most economical system for my needs.
