Foothill Tree Service provides outstanding service and because of this, we just employed them a third time for serious work with oak trees on our residential property. The most recent project involved the removal of a very old and tall oak tree that might have fallen and caused severe damage to the roof. At this time they also removed dead and potentially dangerous limbs from two other trees next to the house and over the roof area. Previous projects involved similar tasks including dead wood thinning, removal of mistletoe and the trimming of branches to help relieve the stress on older trees affected by the drought or decay. With any tree removal, the crew cuts the trunk and larger limbs into manageable 16 or 18 inch size logs. The smaller limbs and branches are chipped and placed at a location of our request. Previous to any work done, a Certified Arborist comes out to the property to evaluate every aspect involved with the project and to assess the cost of the project. We are very impressed not only with the knowledge of their Certified Arborists but also with that of their excellent tree crews. They are prompt, hard-working, efficient, thorough, absolutely responsible and very congenial. Their tree climbing Specialists are amazing at what tasks they can perform as well as those done by the rest of the supporting crew. Foothill Tree Service will always be our first choice for anything related to tree care on our property. We are fortunate to have this wonderful service available to us in this area.

I came home after work on 9/5/13 to find cut hedges all along the back fence between my house and my neighbor's property.  The company never gave me any kind of prior notification that they would be entering my private property to clean up my neighbor's hedges.  They left a note on my door on 9/5/13 stating they would be coming back to finish the next day, I don't think so!!  When I came home on 9/5/13 my cats were freaked out as the company had pulled their huge tree shredding machine onto my driveway, up against my house.  Had I known ahead of time, I could have arranged to take my cats to my parent's house.  When I asked Brent, the person in charge, that night on the phone if my neighbor had told them it was ok to enter my property he said that she stated that she did not know me, thus he knew that I was not aware of their arrival, which is trespassing.  Brent said he knocked on my door and nobody answered, so they proceeded to enter my property to take care of my neighbor's plants.  If I were the one writing the check, I can guarantee that I would not have been treated like that.  Not at all happy with the company.

The company was very responsive with a bid; their price was substantially less than the other bids we got; their crew was punctual; and they did an outstanding, safe job. The other companies we spoke to were going to require us to remove deck stairs, a gazebo and planters. Foothill completed the job without any structure removal required. We were very impressed and happy with the professionalism of the company and quality of their work.
