Photography
The story needs attention as any interaction with this individual, in my judgment, will especially if you're teaching a course in ethics in general or specifically in business be a perfect case study for unethicalness. Professors of Ethics or people seeking photography services read on as I support my assertions about his lack of and knowledge of professionalism, less than adequate literacy, and a marginal ability to articulate in speaking and writing. Our students study his blogs as part of a Sports Literature course project. I'll share its results when the course concludes.
Update: Now, the above individual has asked for his blog followers to recommend an attorney to him. Hence, not only will you receive inadequate photography service and waste money, you'll need to prepare for a court case. As a defendant, a very competent San Francisco attorney and good friend will need to craft a response to his complaint and we'll consider a counter-action. All requiring time and money. If this person rips you off, then consider protecting others by accurately describing all relevant events, and keep in mind, he's unlicensed so whatever action he brings to court will have no legal standing. But, don't hire him. Plenty of competent and licensed photographers in the Sacramento region. And, don't calculate any "barter in exchange" agreement with him. He'll not understand the term.
Update: My experience should warn anyone to stay from this photographer. That said, use my experience are as a protective and preventative experience.
And, carefully read the assessment with me describing the issue over the web designer. For this photographer, the common word inculcate used as an objective by coaches when they train athletes to develop precise motor patterns or the nervous system is not known. Or, fervently supporting the web designer who included a sexually explicit video that appeared on two educational web site is viewed as heroism by this "wanna be," in my opinion "Larry Flynt." SEE MY WEB DESIGNER EVALUATION. ANY SIMILARITIES TO PENN STATE? It does not surprise me that this ,in my judgment "pseud-wanna be professional backstabber" for which he's becoming is not able to distinguish between the word "inculcate" and the sexual selling of s** toys on the video Rock and Roll Massager.Com.In my opinion. This pillar of a "community of newspaper editors" and his two marginal literate conspirators need strong legal medicine as attorneys are want to recommend to judges who are viewed as chronic abusers; posting of sexual ads on school and baseball clinic web sites. Mr. Reynolds appears to me that he's unable to comprehend and inculcate the above concepts. An elementary school tutor should contact him. Good steady work. Just sit with your back to the wall. .
Consumers: Read his rebutttal and Buyer Beware! Be careful even if you consider obtaining an estimate from, in my opinion, this "looney tunes." He'll in his desperation, contact on or more of your supervisors seeking any "scintilla of dirt" (i.e. classroom activities) to publish anonymously in one or more of his blogs. Consider the costs of litigation that you might incur including time.
Tune in tomorrow and read opines about: "It's better to keep your mouth closed and be thought of a fool, then open it and remove all doubt."
Any retired First Amendment lawyers. Contact him! Possible part -time job. Suggest however: Sit with back to wall--my opinion!. Protection is available! Contact me!.
Consumers: Now warned: In my view, provider is analogous to "FBI's Most Wanted." When you see or hear him, you'll know him!
Update: Wrote letter to Better Business Bureuu. Make sure you establish a fact pattern if you experience the trouble. Keep track of your time. Actionable and recoverable. Your time is worth money. Passivity lets these guys off.
Waiting to act to his "fact pattern." You can be your own attorney--craft a thorough fact pattern. Continually update as needed.. But, hire a good one to file in court. But, both you of argue case. Good strategy to learn legal system. Paper-work intensive.. Hire legal secretary from Angie's System..
Update: 12-16-11
Don't turn back on him. Always write "warning letter" via an attorney. But, you actively direct attorney. Judges don't want their time wasted. Show with evidence all remedies pursued. Take your time. You have one year statute in which to file a cause of action against a non-contractor like this service.
Update: 12-20-1
Suggests you contact him! Never! Unpredictable! Much like a "snake in behavior" That was my experience!

This individual. and his web designer friend who attempted to post a video selling sexual toys on a local high school baseball web site continually refer to me slandering, defamating, and libeling them. Yet, each received a letter from an attorney who read their "fact pattern" and sent a letter on my behalf to the "three blind mice" advising them where we'll meet because of their continued accusations. "They still don't get it." So, another reason to avoid this photographer. Avoid unnecessary legal action--stay away from this less than literate photographer.
I assume all the legal responsibility for 100% of content posted evaluating this vendor!
Update: 1/1912: Preparation process takes time when filing a legal cause of action. Stay posted and become informed about the process when a vendor like the one described here needs "legal medicine."
1/28/12: "He was the secretary of an organization that had contacted me to do thier web site. Somehow he was selected to oversee the progress of the web site and everything was going fine. For some reason the member went ballistic and started slandering me, my web site and members of his organization. He has since resigned from the orgainization and continues his slandering of his pass co-members of the organization." Quoted from his web designer friend's Angie's rebuttal. The point: This photographer will illegally collude against you (if hired of course) with other individuals and "force a legal showdown ." See my update in 2/512. It'll be preventative in the sense that some other contractor like this one also needs "legal medicine." I know some medicine that works 95% of the time. Stay tuned and "buyer beware savvy."
Date: 6/2212: Still advertises in this medium as a photographer. The above reviews still apply and don't get caught up or ensared by his less than erudiite rhetoric. Read his Twitter bloigs---They are full of statements our 8 year-old granddaugter would find simplistic, almost literate, full of statements that mock our educational system. Probably; failed any college currruculum he's ever attempted. In our classes, he would not pass any essay test: The point: DON'T EVEN TOUCH HIM!
11/13/12: This fake vendor is on Twitter and acts unemployable. Now, he contends he wrote 23,000 words of fiction. I will guarantee any service he advertises is a fraud. Be on the lookout for this p

Response from David Reynolds, Photography
"The member is the worst individual to comment about my skills or my ethics. He has slandered myself and two other former associates simply because we disagreed with him, in my case over using the word "inculcate." He was extremely pleased with my work when it was presented. It also be noted that I worked with him to shoot the exact images he was looking for. In addition, I did NOT charge him $350, an amount that he vastly over-inflates. If anything, I am guilty of charging too little. I have NEVER had a dissatisfied customer before this member. For an example of slander, read his comments. Member, to use your own words, remove this "as of yesterday." Dealing with you is the biggest mistake I have ever made. Also, I have never represented myself as a college professor. I do hold a bachelor's degree and a certificate in technical communication earned "with distinction." The member's ethics comments are completely without merit. And his comments here go well beyond simple lies into slander. Update 11-28-11 Member has the right, according to Angie's List rules, to write anything he wants about anyone, including me. Angie's List states it has no responsibility for the content posted by its members. The members alone bear all responsibility for their content. People like the member are free to voice their views about anything and anyone, no matter if his comments are verifiable fact or outright fiction. You get to decide what is true and what is not. If you want a different point of view, contact me directly."
