Morris Roofing

I talked to 17 roofing contractors (used to be a general contractor myself). Only one gave me a price that I could live with. I am a real estate broker, and as a previous general contractor, I guaranteed my buyer that we could do the job within the credit provided by the seller, or else I would personally make it happen "on my dime". To my chagrin, when the shingles were stripped off, we found that the roof plywood sheets had been installed wrong. So, Morris Roofing came to my rescue by removing and re-installing the plywood (a necessity totally unexpected by Morris Roofing and me). It was the PERFECT situation for an unscrupulous subcontract to REALLY take advantage. Could have cost many, many thousands more than what Morris Roofing charged to do the extra work. I was not happy to have to step in, but Morris Roofing saved me thousands by "taking care of business" when the problem came to light. I shudder to think of how a typical roofer might have sliced through my guarantee amount and then charged my buyer still more, given the same situation. Thanks, Adam Morris! Thanks, Morris Roofing! I appreciate your handling of my "Halloween Surprise" of a roof not built to code. Terry

Adams crew did a good job. They had to combine their work with the installation of a solar panel system, which meant they were coming back-and-forth on different days. They did a good job and I would hire them again.

First of all, let me state that I am not in any way affiliated with Morris Roofing and have received no discount or any other compensation for this review. I am just a very satisfied customer that would like to share my story in the hopes that it can make somebody else's choice easier. After the heavy rains that we received this year, it became obvious we would need a new roof soon. The granules were dropping from our old roof by the bucketful and the fibers were starting to show. I wanted to get the roof redone before I NEEDED to get the roof done, it that makes sense. I called four roofing companies for estimates and spoke with the roofers as they were on the roof to check out the situation. Of the four companies, I had the most confidence in Adam Morris as he talked to me about what he saw and what was needed. My wife said to me right after he left "I bet he is going to be the highest bid, but I hope it is still in the ballpark". We both had a great initial impression and hoped for the best. Now, I typically do not go for the lowest bid on a job because I figure that they must be cutting some corners to get the bid down. I just hoped the Morris bid was close to what the others came in with. As luck would have it, Morris came in as the lowest bid by about $1000! Adam took the time to go over the materials that he would be using and I independently verified what he said to me by doing a ton of research on my own. My best suggestion is to go onto forums where roofers talk among themselves and check out what they have to say about certain materials, like underlayment and shingles as well as ventilation. What I found is that Adam was completely honest and up front with me from the very beginning. Finally, the total cost came right in line with what was on the estimate. The estimate detailed work to be done and laid out the cost for replacement of wood where it is needed. There were NO hidden costs and I got a better than fair price for excellent work. One final note: My wife and I were expecting a baby and wanted to get the new roof on before the scheduled delivery date of our daughter. We signed the contract for work to be completed by May 23, 2017. Our daughter had other Ideas and came a week early. This company came through and not only got the work done on time, but when Adam learned the baby was a week early, he got his crews out to my house ahead of schedule and had them working overtime. The end result was that we brought our new daughter home to a finished roof a full week before the contract date. I truly believe that my experience with Adam Morris and his crews is not unique. They never seemed like they were doing something special, it just seemed like they always work this way. I would be completely comfortable recommending Morris Roofing to anybody that may ask. In a time where we, as consumers expect to be swindled or ripped off by everybody; it is such a wonderful thing to come across a company that is so honest and hardworking. I will be posting this review on multiple sites because I truly feel that hiring Morris Roofing was the best possible decision we could have made.

We had an issue with a different roofing company and Morris Roofing came to our rescue. Not only did they do great work they did it quickly and very respectfully. Adam was great and so was his team, they explained everything thoroughly and best of all, there were no surprise costs! 10/10 review - Honest company, I would definitely recommend them!

Morris roofing were one of only 2 companies that responded to messages left when we discovered a number of leaks during the heavy rain earlier in the year. They were highly responsive, came out as soon as their schedule allowed (within a day or so, the other company took 10 days). Their quote was impressive, especially given they were also using better quality underlayments than the competition. Installation was clean and efficient, the guys really put the effort in and was completed within the quoted timeline, even with one day lost due to weather. A great experience all round and I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

We had a great experience with Morris Roofing and would definitely recommend them. We had a fairly unique problem with the original design and construction of our roof, which caused severe leaking. They were able identify the issues and come up with a solution to fix the faulty design. Their quote was competitive and the work was completed on time. We are very happy with the quality of their work. We highly recommend!

My clay tile roof had sustained damage from a recent wind storm. From the ground, it appeared that 20-25 tiles had been damaged or stripped from the roof. The first company that I contacted for a repair estimate was more focused on doing a "roof tune-up" for $1,500 and then $25 per tile replaced making the likely cost > $2,000. They would not give me a fixed price bid. The second company thought the roof would need up to 100 tiles replaced and gave me a fixed quote of approx. $2,000. These companies were both from Angie's List with many positive reviews. Morris Roofing was the third bid. They quoted $750 fixed price and would also caulk pipes as necessary. Morris Roofing showed up on time, completed the work and left a clean worksite. They replaced about 30 tiles, including repairing some old roof damage. The replacement tiles match perfectly. It is very difficult to identify the areas of repair from the ground. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Adam Morris is without question one of best contractors I have ever dealt with . Great personality,prompt ,asked many questions and provided me with a competitive quote. The work was performed on time exactly as promised by a very good crew. During the roofing project I was removing about 3 cubic yards of dirt for
a
landscaping project. Adam offered to let me load the dirt in his trash trailer and hauled it off without charge.
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who nends a high quality, professionaly don job.

Additionalty Adam provided me with an equally professional house painter who I subsequently hired.
You will not find a better contractor than Morris Roofing. Excellent work, good crew, friendly and very easy to work with.

I never felt like I was left with workers who I couldn't communicate with and didn't really care if I had concerns. All in all I was satisfied with all aspects of the job.

Tim showed up on time, calling me to let me know he was running a few minutes late.  He took the time to go up on the roof and inspect work done by our solar contractor.  Afterwards, he gave my husband and I a clear idea of some problems with the roof tiles.  The solutions presented were helpful and he gave us numbers to work with for our budget.

Morris replaced a section of flat roofing on our Eastlake home. They were professional, prompt, and did quality work. The owner performed both a pre-inspection and a post-inspection and even sent a crew member back to our home to paint over a small spot that was stained by some roofing material. Price felt a bit high for the scope of work but we were very satisfied and would use them again.

Adam had some delays because his brother was in a serious accident requiring Adam's attention.  Other than the longer time that it took to finish the project, the firm did an excellent job on a tricky project.  They removed the old roofing and devised solutions for sealing areas of a complex, skylight-studded flat roof that had been unsatisfactory for years.  Removing the old roofing was an arduous and messy tax, and there was a bit of soiling and damage to the exterior housepaint.  Adam graciously offered to touch it up for me, but I had my painter do it instead.  A little more care in the removal process probably would have helped, but better would have been for the paint job to come after the roofing!  My mistake.
The new TPO roof looks great--no more gravel to cause problems whenever someone has to walk on the roof.  There were a couple of small leaks that occurred after the first rains, and Adam and crew returned to fix these.  Also, there are a couple of small "birdbaths" that hold a bit of water after the rain, but Adam assured me that they will cause no problem.  So far so good.
 

Adam Morris is a consumat professional.,extremely easy to work with, goes beyond the work I contracted for, and completely willing to go the extra yard to make me satisfied. The work crew was totally professional, efficient, fast ,and friendly. The job sight was always left clean and neat at the end of each days work. The building inspectors and my neighbors remarked how well the work was done and looked.
I would without question recommend this company to do their work.

I enjoyed having them at our home.  Their good humor and camaraderie was enjoyable to watch.  They installed an excellent sunroof which has endured the test of time, wear and dirt and rain.  They had to wait for the sunroof to be completed before they started the job which was a tad frustrating.

Great experience. Adam Morris came out immediately after I called and took care of putting plastic over the leak until the insurance company could get there. His crew was fast and efficient. Once the approval came from the insurance company, the crew returned and did a fantastic job of repairing the problem permanently. Would not hesitate to use them, they were absolutely first rate!!

We were referred to Morris Roofing from a neighbor of ours, who had just had his roof done and was extremely happy with the outcome. Tim Morris returned our initial call the same day, and scheduled a time to come out to see the roof. He provided us with a professional written estimate, which included everything to replace the roof, as well as applying a top protective coating. We had received several other quotes from other company ranging from foam, hot mop, and appication of waterproof coating, however Tim's torch-down system was by far the best solution for us. He explained every step and detail thoroughly, and his quote was extremely fair, in fact it was far less than any of the other quotes we had received. He and his crew arrived on time as scheduled, and although we had rain that delayed the job, Tim made sure to call us to keep us informed of any changes. Our roof presented some challenges (sloping, ponding, etc..), and Tim used his expertise to minimize those problems without increasing the budget. We had such a terrible experience with the previous contractors that we used, that we were very nervous - however, we've been able to enjoy the recent rainy days thanks to Tim and his crew and are finally able to sleep sound knowing that our roof is not going to leak! I would strongly recommend Morris Roofing to anyone who needs to a new roof, or an existing roof repaired, in fact we have since referred Tim to a few other neighbors of ours :-) I only wish that this referral system was around five years ago so we could have avoided the expensive and stressful mistake of hiring the wrong company - and would have been able to find Morris Roofing right from the start.
