It went very well. I didn't want a backsplash, so the installation needed to be really perfect and it was. After everything was complete, I noticed that there was a section of the end piece which looked a little weird, When I mentioned it, they brought the equipment back upstairs and polished it off just perfectly (and not a word of complaint for a picky homeowner.) It was challenging to bring up a one piece 112" long piece of granite. The managed the turn in the stairs ok, and even figured out how to maneuver the granite in a small bathroom by opening the window and using the open window space to maneuver!
