Straight Shot Plumbing

Our downstairs toilet clogged last night.  We'd had a similar clog about a year and a half ago that resulted in that toilet backing up and causing about $10,000 damage to our floors and drywall, so we weren't taking any chances.  Several neighbors on Nextdoor.com had recommended Jesse from Straight Shot, so I gave him a call.  He answered personally at 8:15 at night.  He not only asked about the problem, but got details about where the problem fixture was (bottom-most fixture in the house, before the drain out to sewer line), and gave us some good advice about how to avoid it overflowing overnight.  He said he'd be out in the morning; he called in the morning and asked if he could reschedule for later morning to avoid Friday-afternoon traffic for another call; I was fine with that.  He arrived when he said he would and quickly cleared the clog and inspected the pipe out to the sewer line.  Even though he got another call while he was here, he took a few minutes to look at our aging hot-water heater, told us it was in good shape for now, but gave us an informal estimate to replace it, since it's almost 20 years old (really).  He's very personable and knowledgeable.
