water heater repair
+ -1 moreThe put in the new water heater for me and blew my floor away. Yes, they ruined my kitchen floor. They put in a new kitchen floor and it was fine. The price was average. The quality of work was average. I probably would use them again in the future because they took care of me fine and they are the only ones in the area.
Description of Work: I used Hansens Pride Construction And Remodel about three years ago. I had a new water heater put in.

+ -1 moreDan Hansen, proprietor of HPCR, is our ?go-to? resource for professional home improvement help. He is extremely conscientious in his work, a skilled multi-trade building expert, and a genuine pleasure to work with. This was our second home improvement project with Dan?s company. Our project had a deadline of 40 days from when I first contacted him about the work. Dan was able to arrange his company?s schedule to complete our project, a renovation of the upper half of house, within 35 days of our first conversation with phenomenal results. Because of our tight timeframe, we were slightly constrained on choice. For example, we couldn?t get our first choice rail system delivered on our timeframe. Dan took time to understand what we wanted and helped us find alternatives that didn?t feel like compromises. We?re very pleased with the results. We have happily recommended HPCR, and will do so again.
Description of Work: HPCR remodeled three bedrooms, a guest bathroom and our mezzanine. The remodel involved carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and texturing & painting. HPCR provided additional work tacked on after the remodel. Guest Bathroom Remodel: Removed the existing shower/tub, toilet, vanity and flooring Replaced existing single pane bathroom window with a Low-E dual pane window Installed a new shower/tub, toilet, and vanity Installed combination bath fan / motion-controlled bathroom light and timer switch (and supporting electrical and duct work) Supervised installation of matching shower walls and counter top Installed replacement bathroom lighting sconce Installed new flooring and base board Installed new fixtures (shower head, tub spout, vanity faucet) Retextured walls Supervised repainting Bedrooms & Mezzanine Remodel: Installed a craftsman-style wooden rail system for the mezzanine and stairway Installed new dual-pane, Low-E windows in the front bedrooms Installed new can lights in the bedrooms and mezzanine alcove Supervised repainting Supervised carpet installers Covered over a stained wooden ceiling beam in the hallway to make it blend with the rest of the house (drywall, retexture and repaint) Retextured walls, repaired mezzanine platform lip. Installed new base board Add-on projects: Installed kitchen cabinet hardware Misc. - installed AC powered smoke/carbon monoxide detector for mezzanine, installed battery-powered smoke detectors for the rest of the house, install new door bell, installed decorative bumpers for all doors, replaced all door hardware (handles and hinges). Planning and supervision: Planned the remodeling work and managed HPC resources Supervised the work of the contractors that I engaged (carpet and Filed permit applications & met with inspectors

+ 0 moreWe had estimates from two companies and were impressed with their previous work, but after talking with Dan Hansen of Hansen's Pride Construction & Remodel (HPCR), we felt that HPCR would be the best choice for our project. Photos of HPCR's previous work looked very consistent with what we wanted, we liked Dan's outline of his approach to the work, and his estimate was very reasonable. Dan helped us select the door and hardware (craftsman-style JELD-WEN 42" wide fiberglass door & sidelight system with Baldwin mortised lockset), then kept in touch while the door was fabricated. His follow-up is excellent. Dan arrived to complete the work on schedule. He was very courteous and completed the work in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the results, and would happily work with Dan Hansen of HPCR on future projects.
Description of Work: Replaced existing double door with a pre-hung, wide single door & sidelight system, installed interior and exterior trim, weatherproofed the front entryway and cleaned up at the conclusion of each day's work.
