The Door Guy

My wife and I have used Richard Connelly (The Door Guy) over the years on many door and lock installations. We keep coming back to Richard for the following basic reasons: 1. Richard is the most knowledgeable and experienced door guy in the County. 2. He is like a craftsman from the old days, who honed his skills over the years. 3. He treats our jobs the same as if he was working on a job in his own home. 4. The quality of his work and attention to detail is exceptional. 5. Richard is reasonable, punctual, courteous, efficient, fastidious, and has a great sense of humor. 6. Richard was very punctual and always came over when he said he was going to. He was always polite and friendly. He contacted us through e-mail and phone when needed. He did the research on possible doors we might like, and sent us the links to the websites. Once we decided on a door, he gave suggestions as to how they could work for us. His quotes were reasonable for the work required. We needed to have the door frames rebuilt due to previous damage. We also needed two new thresholds built since the ones we had was damaged and allowed water to come in. He did an excellent job on all of these things. We were extremely pleased by the quality of the doors and his superior workmanship. We could have gone cheaper, but we don't think we would have been as happy with the work. The doors really changed the feel of our house, from okay to beautiful. I highly recommend Richard for his professionalism and skill when installing doors.

We had previously spent $50 for Home Depot to measure and search for a door for us.  We were quoted that the door would cost $2,000 and that installation would be an additional $500 for that door alone.  Any other work, such as installing the replaced door in another door frame, was to be extra.  The young man from Home Depot (emphasis on young) did not instill a great deal of confidence in me, although he may have done a good job.

However, I them remembered Richard, "The Door Guy".  Richard was very professional.  He immediately found a person who could build the door for us, for less than half of what we were quoted for from Home Depot. 

Richard is a true craftsman. He showed up on time and immediately set up a mini-shop to do his work.  It is clear he takes a great deal of pride in what he does. Richard actually did a little extra work and did not charge us to haul the old door away.   

The job he did could not have been done any better.   Great job! Great price! 

we are completely satisfied with his professionalism, work ethic and timeliness. he replaced our back garage side door, repaired an inside door and completly rebuilt the opening for a new front door with side lites on the front. he was helpful in answering all questions before we ordered items. we would most certainly call and use him again.
