AMADOR AUTOMOTIVE

I was given an approximate time that they would need the vehicle for the service.  He (Bill, the manager) told me about 2 hours.  I took the vehicle in to him, and left it there for them to service.  Bill explained everything to me that they would be doing, and then told me he would call me when he was done.
I had told Bill that my son was going to need to drive the vehicle 750+ miles round trip and needed the vehicle pretty quick.  I had only called him that morning, so it wasn't like I had this setup with the shop ahead of time.  So I knew I could have to wait.
Bill called earlier than the two hours and told me they had completed everything, and the vehicle passed the smog.  He then told me that they do test other items just as a service and told me what the vehicle needed.  We had worn drive belts, the battery failed the load test (so it wouldn't charge on it's own if the battery died), and needed an air filter.  Bill was very clear that this was not something he was telling me to do, but a service to me to know what could potentially cause issues.  Because it was more than I could spend at the time, I told him I would wait.  He had no issue with that and told me he'd see me when I got in.
Something to note here - I am very used to other auto service places telling me what was needed and then trying to "scare" me into getting it done quickly.  Bill's information was simply that - information.  In no way did I feel pressured and in fact I was very thankful he gave me that information so I know what will be needed next.  
Bill was friendly, easy going and the work that Amador Automotive did on my vehicle went without an issue.  This is now my Auto Shop!  I have three vehicles and will certainly take it to them.  Thanks Amador!
