Veterinarians,

About us

Pinole Pet Hospital has been a pillar of the Pinole community since 1968. Our charming building is a work of art, with life-sized murals of our favorite companions! Here at Pinole Pet Hospital we aim to replace traditional reactive medicine with a more progressive form of medicine: preventative medicine. This method gives us the best potential to stave off significant health problems and increase your pets’ quality and longevity of life, especially during your companion’s senior years. It is our commitment to provide you with quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist you with routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. We treat all our clients and patients like family; we work hard to forge real relationships with our clients and the local community. We are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet’s health care. Our entire team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner and to adjusting your pet’s treatment plan to fit you and your budget. Open communication and dialogue is extremely important to us; we will always take the time to answer your questions and explain to you exactly what we are going to do, before we do it. We try to educate and empower pet parents, so they are armed with the knowledge and support to choose the appropriate care for their pet. We provide you with client education materials to help you better understand your pet’s healthcare needs. We respect your wishes; the recommendations we will make for your pet come solely out of a commitment to providing the best possible care. We have technologically advanced equipment and well trained staff. At Pinole Pet Hospital we have the ability to manage your pet’s care here at our facility and can solve most ailments in-house which saves time, and most importantly, it can save your pet’s life. The people and the pets of the Pinole area are our passion. Our team comes to work every day to provide the best care possible for your furry companions and family members!

It went well.  My cat was well behaved and well taken care of.  I recommend them; they are gentle and caring.  It was my first time and I think that kind of experience will continue.  I was supposed to pay $60 but since I was a first timer I didn't have a coupon so it was a free examination.

This was a very positive experience for me and my cat, Loki.  I've been looking for a new vet nearer to Hercules and because I was unhappy with my former vet.  I have 3 cats and a large dog (all of them are aging) so a trusted, competent, and affordable vet is important to me.
The technician took Loki's vitals while he talked to him to keep him calm. Loki's a biter and is easily agitated, so the tech did very well by staying low key and minimizing handling.
The vet came in and checked Loki's scabs and lesions.  She asked questions and explained what the problem was.  Then she proposed a course of treatment.
She brought in an estimate with two antibiotic delivery options (one shot in the office or daily dosing at home) so I could decide which I'd prefer based on cost and convenience.  I opted for the shot.  The technician held Loki gently and he hardly flinched when the shots (steroid and antibiotic) were administered.
When we were finished, the vet asked me to keep her informed so, if the problems persist, we can discuss changes in diet and other options.
The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient.  I'll definitely return and recommend this pet hospital to my friends.

I have not needed a vet since I moved here and my cat was not eating. So I had to find a vet fast! I am always cautious about vets because I am into integrative medicine and feed mostly raw foods.  Some vets are just too "old school" for me and not up on the latest in holistic care. I was preparing my arguments in favor of the way I have chosen to feed and care for my cat. I didn't need them! I saw Dr. Lin and she was very well informed on titers and raw food. I love Dr. Lin and now have a great new vet in this area. I felt like I was very much a part of my cat's health care.
Everyone in the office was very nice, even though I could tell that there was a lot going on and they were trying to do a lot of things. NO ONE was rude or acted at all like I was "in the way" or " a bother". And I KNOW how stressful a vet clinic can get as I used to
work in one a long time ago.
I HIGHLY recommend this clinic! It is very refreshing to have a vet that I can work with.

I believe the vets and staff are caring and knowledgeable.  Unnecessary work is not performed and there is no pressure to go forward with an unwanted procedure.  I appreciate the time they took and their serious consideration of the matter at hand.

I love them. They are reasonable. I have had phone calls to them and they got back to me as soon as they were free from the patient. The availability depends if they are going to be keeping me waiting. They are great.

Pinole Pet Hospital =EXCELLENCE. Dr. Moll & Dr. Juricek & the entire staff provide the highest quality care for pets, it is obvious they all care. They go a step beyond. Appointments are not necessary in the afternoon. There is a parking lot near the doors. The waiting room is clean & pleasant with photos of pets, employees, video, and 2 resident cats behind the counter(oops, Gatsby is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel who seems to think he is a cat!) The facility is well-designed, clean & well-organized. I've gone there for years & have never had a problem. Dr. Juricek has contacts at U.C. Davis so pets can get the latest treatments as needed. Dr. Moll & Dr. Juricek are skilled & experienced vets. Pet records are kept on a computer in addition to paper files. The employees are friendly & work very effectively. It's not necessary to go back through the waiting room after your pet has been seen, there is a separate exit door to the parking lot.
