I called him because of previous experience: he was the contractor who installed the current roof. He came to the house and explained the different types of vents available, thier upsides and downsides. I showed him an example from a neighbor's roof of what I wanted. He recommended the number and location of the vents. The price sounded fair so I scheduled him to come out the following Wednesday. He showed up as agreed with an employee who he took onto the roof and laid out what was to be done. He finished in the time estimated and left the area clean. The vents make a 20 degree difference in the attic temperature in the hottest weather and make it wasier to keep the upstairs cool.
