Impressive Concrete

We were going to with pavers or brick but after meeting with Randy and going over the benefits of using concrete we decided to use Impressive Concrete. Concrete last so much longer and requires little maintenance, people are amazed when I tell them it is concrete.
Impressive Concrete is truly impressive. Randy and his crew were great to work with. Very easy going and he cares more about quality work and his reputation then anything. I would recommend Impressive Concrete to anyone. They will get the job done right the first time.
Patio has saw cuts for expansion control.
Patio was pressure washed cleaned and sealed using high quality lacquer sealer.
Wire mesh was used for added strength.
All excess materials were removed and hauled away by Impressive Concrete leaving no trash behind.

Randy (the owner) is very professional and prompt. Randy and his team first removed the existing carpet. Once removed, the team quickly determined the concrete was in very poor condition. They then resurfaced the existing concrete and moved on with the staining. Due to the lack of proper drainage, and our HOA restrictions, acid based stains were not an option. The first attempt with the acrylic stains weren't exactly what we envisioned. Randy patiently listened to our feedback then went into action. The second attempt was a huge improvement and more inline with our vision. The floor itself (and the building) posed a few challenges to the project, but Randy was persistent and didn't give up until we were 100% satisfied with the project. The floor has a very unique look that we really appreciate. Once the concrete was done, Randy finished our baseboards. Randy went out of his way (in my opinion) to complete the project to our satisfaction including working additional days to meet our move in schedule. His price was very fair for the quality and the effort. Many companies we contacted didn't even bother to call us back. Randy and his team were always prompt, polite and professional. Our next project will be to refinish our patio, and you can be assured we will be contacting Impressive Concrete.

I discovered Randy Hernandez after failing to locate a Angie's List concrete contractor who could do the job for a reasonable price, and in a reasonable time. I met with him, and was immediately impressed by his knowledge. He was prompt in preparing a bid for the job, and was able to fit me into his other work within a few days. This left me with only the concern that he was able to do a good quality job. I had no reason to worry. There is a saying that you can choose only two out of three on any job - quick, good price, or quality. In Randy's case I got all three.

Randy and his assistant Chris came out on the agreed upon day, and quickly 'demo'd the old walkway, and preparing the forms. They returned for a second day of form building, made some changes I wanted without complaint, and finished building the forms for the pour. This happened on the third morning, and by the time I arrived at 9am they were already removing the forms and refining the edges, adding control joints and a special 4and quot; border I had asked for. The three of them spent the next 3 hours working to refine the walkway to perfection. Randy is truly a hands-on craftsman who takes the upmost pride in his work, and the results show his dedication. He has years of knowledge and experience, and a great eye for detail. Not only that, but Randy is a really nice person as well, and someone who is a pleasure to work with. I'm so happy with the experience, and I highly recommend Impressive Concrete.

I should add that Impressive Concrete specializes in impressed decorative concrete (hence the name), a technique used to simulate various stone surface. It looked very nice on their website (www.impressiveconretesocal.com) I did not have this done, opting instead for a simple brushed surface, which they did beautifully. I'm sure they do great work with this technique as well.
